burton.co.uk refund query

Ordered 5 items from burton.co.uk. got them yesterday 30th jeans and belt didn't fit so i raised a returns but they said i wont be getting any shipping money back shipping was only £5 and pennies, It's not a huge deal but is there anything out there to say they need to refund me the shipping. Every little helps

Under DSRs they should refund the original shipping cost but can make you pay for the return shipping.

Burton offer free returns so thats not a problem.

So just state DSR to them and they should refund me hopefully.

They have to refund EVERYTHING you have paid.

called them and stated DSR and was reading some bits out, he decided to refund me full delivery

Annoying that you have to quote legislation to a company the size of Burton's though just to get them to comply with the law.

7 Day Cooling-Off Period

In addition to our returns policy, under the Distance Selling Regulations EU customers have seven working days (beginning the day after receipt) to cancel your purchase (unless it is a purchase of financial services, food, drink or other perishable products; DVDs, CDs or software which have been unsealed; magazines; or tailor-made / customised products). Order cancellations must be made in writing to Customer Services quoting your order number. In this case, we will provide a full refund but you must return the cancelled items to us. If we do not receive the cancelled items back, we may arrange to collect them from you at your cost.

REFUNDING THE DELIVERY CHARGE

If we have made a mistake on an item sent to you or it is faulty or damaged we will refund the delivery charges you have paid to receive that item. We will also refund the delivery charges if you are cancelling your purchase within the 7 day cooling off period.

Burtons offer returns under DSRs whereby you pay return costs and they refund you in full.

Alternatively they offer their own 14 day service which is more convenient, as it means they provide a returns label free and you won't be refunded original shipping. This can be used with the collect+ service.

Did you return the whole order or just part of it?

i returned 3 items out the 5, but i called burton today and they have refunded fullpostage

I don't think you was even entitled to a refund then if it was a fixed rate charge. I'm surprised they refunded it.
