Hi, I'm near Basingstoke and lucky to be 3 degrees off south
    We have 17x2.35 panels = 3.995

Near perfect then - you'll do very well over the coming years.

  • Hi Usky

I had a dreadful time of generation over those two days. But it was in a week which also saw my record broken with my highest yield yet.

    On 29/01: Overcast: 0.79 units
On 30/01: Filthy day: 0.17 units

Incidentally the 30/01 was also a record – my lowest yield....:(

I am updating statistics on my blog for two systems - my father's east-west split and my south, south east array.

Thanks Dave Fowler for the useful link – it's very reassuring to see statistics from others.

I really shouldn't be pleased to hear about poor yields Novice, but hearing about other people's low output has made me feel quite a lot better.

To be honest I'm also boosted by the better yields from the last couple of days, which are greatly improved.

  • Today I have recorded 9.98 kw - mostly south facing near south coast with 16 panels at approx 30 degrees. I have 2 monitoring meters, one on the grig cable and the other on the PV output.

This is my first post here.

    Welcome fellow newbie!

I had an excellent day yesterday too; 9.95Kwh for me. Looks like it's going to another good day today too, given the forecast. My Owl monitor arrived yesterday too, so I'll be keeping an eye on that today to see how things go. :)

  • Hi Evader

What a difference in a couple of days:

I had my best day yesterday since installation - during a record breaking week, yesterday I generated 7.65kW from my 8-panel 2kW system!

it's an MSE in joke, I'm sure you'll get it soon :D

enjoy your kWh, and FiT :D

ps very cold (or windy), means more efficiency from panels when sunny i understand, not necessarily a clear sky (from cold) :) badly worded/explained probably.

also, pollution or haze can affect even on apparent sunny day..

I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong :D
