What a lovely positive post - it is hard as relationships change and you have to adjust to major changes as your child becomes an adult - it sounds like you have made a great start to the next stage in your relationship, and you will be great friends

Lovely to read an optimistic thread about being a parent to a teenager! I think you are spot on about communicating, which isn't always easy in our electronic world.
