Orange internet slow!

Our Orange broadband (free) has become v slow since we moved house. We used to be able to watch iplayer, movies etc without problem, now sites like youtube load 2 seconds then stall! Streaming anything is now not possible.
I've had a look on here and run the stats from BT performance tester and it's showing download speed of just 106Kbps (seems v low!) but it is within the accepted range of 50-250. These all sound rather low when Orange are saying our estimated speed is 3.5 Meg.
I'm a bit of a novice at this so any help much appreciated!
Thanks!
Adam

Bear in mind if your broadband has just gone active, you're in a DLM (Data Line Management) period for 10 days where your line will settle.Just because a CS person says "You'll get xx speed" in all likelyhood, you wont.0 -
Bit more info...

Thanks for the quick reply! We've been here a few months now.
I tried the link and get the same as what Orange are saying.
"Our test also indicates that your line currently supports an estimated ADSL Max broadband line speed of 2.5Mbps; typically the line speed would range between 1.5Mbps and 5Mbps.
Our test also indicates that your line currently supports an estimated ADSL2+ broadband line speed of 3.5Mbps; typically the line speed would range between 2Mbps and 6Mbps"
Any other ideas or what I should be asking Orange to test before I contact them?

Connect the router into the test socket on the NTE5 to rule out internal wireing & re run the test, change the microfilters make sure you have the microfilter plugged into the phone socket BEFORE any splitters ect.0

I don't have an NTE5, I just have a standard looking box (bit smaller than NTE5, says T Telecom) so not sure if there even is a test socket.
This is the socket the line first comes into the house, I've tried plugging directly into here instead of the extension but get similar results.0 -
Any noise or crackling on the line?
Dial 17070, option 2, quiet line test.
If so, report a line fault to your line rental provider (do NOT mention any broadband problem). No free lunch, and no free laptop
