After the bother of buying the Sun and going to Morrisons so much was sold out/best gone that OH didn't buy enough to use it.

So he's now gone to Lidl with a list wanting some Kronenbourg 1664 or Beck's, British ham and Jamaican ginger cake (all for himself), cucumber, the chip cutter (for swede oven chips), Lloyd Grossman sauces (for emergencies), milk, basil, parsley, swede and frozen calamares if not too carby as a junk food 'treat' for me.

ETA: he only managed to get calamares and cucumber of the stuff on offer

    Need a bit of advice:

Bought some fruit and veg from Lidl last week. Onions (when they were on the half price deal) and clemintines - after a few days noticed one of the clemintines had puffed into a ball of green so chucked it out. Next day, same thing, and same again. :(

The onions looked lovely. Bit when chopping in half the middle was totally rotten :( brown squishy centre. The happened on about 4 out of the 7 onions.

Had anyone else had this? Is it something im doing to cause this? Or do you think i've just been unlucky? I store the clemintines in the fruit basket along with applies and kiwi's. and I store the onions in a dark, dry cupboard.

Have noticed that the fruit and veg isn't good at our Lidl's either so it's a false economy.

FRESH BRITISH CHICKEN MINI FILLETS :)

    375g for £1.34

Will be stocking up on these!

I did the same thing. Got the last 4 packs. Make great home made chicken nuggests for the kids and great for pasta and stir fry dishes.

Some mentioned the steak from Lidls. I have never had a problem with it. But then my OH marinates them in tenderises them as well. So everything comes out great.

I got the perfume for my MIL for Mothers day. I have no idea how that scent smells but I am still using my versace perfume sparingly so it will last a while.

Opened the freezer earlier to find the Three Fish Roast from the Valentine's Day offers lurking in there. Oops I ruined the St Valentine's Day dinner surprise. It's a ready meal I told OH, it's 6.2g carbs per 100g he replied with a smirk and only 5.49. It looks good on the box so we'll see. Anyone else buy it ?
