The onions looked lovely. Bit when chopping in half the middle was totally rotten :( brown squishy centre. The happened on about 4 out of the 7 onions.
Saw something similar on the throwing food away challenge thread. You do have to be careful with any packaged fruit and veg though, I much prefer to pick my own.

I am really disappointed that Lidl seems to discount so much in the way of processed food, as I hardly buy it. Why don't they bring down the price of spinach, broccoli and squash??

I'll go in tomorrow for oranges and Parazone on offer.

Ours doesn't have the beef or the chicken, it has.....salami! :(

OH bought me the Suddenly shower cream and body lotion at Christmas - we had an extra-low present budget for each other and I did suggest it to him. I was really impressed, it's lovely stuff, very creamy and a little goes a long way.

is there a minimum required spend to use a debit/credit card in lidl?I remember there was when it first opened up.

on the perfume front - there is a limit of 6 per customer:rotfl:

I need to get some cling flim/kitchen foil/ toilet roll this week, does anyone know how the prices in lidl compare to the sainsburys basics range?

If i can do my whole shop in lidl and avoid sainsbobs (as much as i like the shop) and save money that would be a winner.

I think the best clingo is the stuff in Aldi, it is strong and never drops to bits.
