theres no point using 7 / 10 days people dont look til near the end if there is hundreds of pages of that item to go thr i use 3 days all the time .. have tryed 7 or 10 it makes no odds

Thats the most illogical thing Ive heard in a long time.

The longer its listed.. the more hits and watchers it gets.. thats a fact. People do search "newly listed items" and if you have other items listed then people viewing those ones as their ending, will enivitably click "view sellers other items" and see items you have ending in 4/5/6 days time. So it completely defies logic to list items for shorter times!

The winning formula if you ask me is to do 10 day auctions.. ending between 7pm-10pm (depending on the age demograph you are expecting to bid, ie not while coronation street or eastenders is on). Ending any night really about from Friday or Saturday as its reasonable to assume people are more likely to be out on those nights.

And the golden rule as i mentioned before is to have items consistently ending every day or two. That way your getting more hits are varying stages of you auctions because everyday people see one of your items in its final hours and be clicking "sellers other items" they see your newly listed stuff and stuff ending in 4 or 5 days.

    One point to remember:-

If everyone has the same item ending at the same time on the same day then prices will be lower. Simple economics of supply and demand.

I now check prices, price my item keenly and have it on BIN for 10 days saves a lot of hassle and worrying when to end the item. But my items are normally one of at laest a few identical items, so I am just offering convenience to save my buyers faffing around bidding and trying to win items that they get out bid on.

I have always put things on for 10 days..... gives you more exposure. If you want a quick turn around go for the 3!
