Hi
What does everyone think about the best day (and time of day) to have listings end?
And do you use 7 or 10 day listings?

theres no point using 7 / 10 days people dont look til near the end if there is hundreds of pages of that item to go thr i use 3 days all the time .. have tryed 7 or 10 it makes no odds0

As the previous poster said, anything that ends about 11:00 PM Sunday evening0

Although in general i agree with the above.
If you are listing something strange, rare unusual or difficult to value best opting for a 7-10 day listing.
If you are selling commodity stuff (ie 100's of identical items) then 1 day is sufficient.

Hi
Thanks for your replies.
Someone told me to avoid Sunday night as there are so many glitches on the system on a Sunday, plus Sunday is slow - lots of traffic but few bidders. I take it you don't find that?

I would say 7 days is the best, people dont bid to the end but 7 days mean people get a good chance to view your item.
Without a doubt, the best time to end your listing is 8 or 8.30pm sunday evening0 -
Try listing it at around 7:30-9:00 on a thursday for 10 days. That way you might grab attention on the first weekend and then you got saturday night and end on the sunday night. Also try 10p/5p listing days.0

It's not "best day to list" but "best day to end" that matters. Personally, I try and do all my listing on a Sunday on 7-day auctions (preferably ending between 6 & 9pm) - failing that, Thursday with 3 or 10 day listings.Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0

I would agree with that. 1 day, just doesn't allow the majority to see the item. 3 days would be alright for a common item, but keeping it safe 7 days is best IMHO! Ending between 8pm & 10 ish on a Sunday.0 -

Ive never found any glitches but never say never!
I would say a bit earlier than around 11pm though depending on what you are selling, bear in mind your target audience for instance womens clothes, baby items ets - people are going to be in bed by 11 and you want the listing to end while poeple are still up and in a bidding mood as you get the best pippings in the last few minutes.0
