I am from Yorkshire and we would often when we were growing up have yorkshire puddings on a sunday with our roast dinner. The following day we would have the left over meat and veg made into a stew and served on pancakes which were made with the left over yorkshire pudding batter.

You just reminded me.... we never had left over batter at grandmas house - but she always made too many yorkshire puddings and we had them warm with golden syrup drizzled over them..... mmmmmmmmmmm a real childhood treat!:D:D:D

Thanks for the happy memory x k

thats so good - my dh said he is going on a diet from Mond (famous last words) needs to lose about 4 stone. His prob is portion size and even if I give him a smaller portion he will wander into the kitchen to see if any more in the pot and help himself - if I don't buy snacky foods in he will make himself a huge cheese sandwich an hour after evening meal - seriously needs some willpower!
Weight loss is achieved not by going on a diet but by a change of lifestyle. Mr F wanted to lose weight - that is half the battle.

Had a spend of £8.09 today in Al.. .

For dinner we had casserole/roast potatoes/roast parsnip/cauliflower/carrot and spinach. This was our third meal of beef casserole - used one 450g pack of meat - made six portions so three days dinners for a low cost.

Monday's dinner is going to be a quiche.

Re smaller plates - I usually have a smaller plate than Mr F - men are meant to eat more calories a day. I usually cook a few monkey nuts while the oven is on - makes a nice little extra after our dinner.

I love your photos, it is no wonder your oh lost so much weight, your plate looks well balanced with the protein and carbs and always a variety of veg.

I cant sleep so have come downstairs for a drink and a hot water bottle, no point me tossing and turning in bed keeping both of us awake. I went to bed at 11, fell asleep for a couple of hours and now i am wide awake. I am due in at work at 11am so hope I can manage a few more hours yet.
