I set up a debt free diary and pledged to write an entry at least once a week. I find it useful to look back on the week and think about anything that I have done to help the debt programme that week - whether it be limiting the grocery spends or selling on ebay. Its also quite empowering to look back and see where you have come from and what steps you ahve actually taken.

Thanks Ninno, i think i'll do it later. Why not! After all, it is part of being/keeping debt free!

    Hi

My total for Feb is £79.87 so far and the cupboards and freezer are at bursting point. My Mr T delivery arrived on Wednesday ( if I spent over £80 I had a £12 voucher to spend so I stocked up the freezer and then on tins and packets to take me over that) I also had a £4 voucher that needed using by the end of the month so I chose a £3 delivery slot which meant in theory I got £13 of food for free:j(little things make me happy you know)
I hope everyone is feeling well and enjoying the brief respite from the cold weather.
Did anyone see that program on TV about our supermarket favourites. It just told me things I already knew like beans on toast and a nice cup of tea being good for you (who knew?:))

    Have a lovely day everyone

    take care tessa
    onwards and upwards
  • Hi all,
Damp grey day today, planning a short run to wake me up (kill or cure!).

Am@zon delivery of Sheba came today, about £2 off a box of 32 square packs, thanks to the OP for that tip, sorry can't recall who it was but worth having. :D

Planning salmon teriyaki with some frozen pacific salmon from Asd@ for me and DH, spag bol from the freezer for the DS's, should keep everyone happy. Might manage a NSD! :rotfl:

Might be a good idea to list the acronyms at the start of the thread for those new to it all! I scratch my head sometimes at the D? ones - darling what, I'm thinking?!

DS cooked the fruity pancakes for breakfaast yesterday, we all like them and to get him cooking is great.:T

Have a great frugalistic day all (another new word, I like it!) :p

I might have a go at the acronym thing...

Frugalistic?! My day's gonna be frugaltastic!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

A fab idea. I'm going to start that today. Friday seems like a good day to do a weekly diary entry - the end of the working week, ready to foucs me for the weekend...

£13 saving is not a little thing! That's real money there. Well done.

I too watched that programme. I missed the tea bit (unloading dishwasher), but watched about the eggs and beans. Don't think I would've liked to eat 4 eggs a day for two weeks though!

Except that Carolinerunner has said that Sainsbobs have 25% off six bottles of wine :o
    ?
blackandwhitebunny, sorry if I said that, it's M$S!

pennygrabber, love 'frugaltastic'!:rotfl:Even better!!! If you made a start on the acronyms, we could all chip in and help?

Cleggie, how about a debt-free diary thread on mse? Others do them, I like reading them, might be more motivating that way? Just a thought.
