£2.00 spent today on milk and biscuits for work.
    Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100
  • NSD today and yesterday. Only because I am nightshift though. Should be same again tomorrow.
    Yearly Grocery Budget - £100.77/ £3500. January Treats Budget - £11.80 / £100.
  • Quick stop in to report a £4.74 spent yesterday on bread, fruit and juice. And today I was stuck at the station waiting for my tube so popped into the Mr T there. Found a 2kg gammon joint marked down to £4.85 - not the best reduction ever, but certainly a good price so picked that up. Thinking I'm going to slice it up and freeze in portions, as we'll get about 5 meals out of that.

Still have two weekends left in Feb's budget, but really shouldn't need any more meat now so think I'll make it.

Hi all, I haven't been food shopping today so no spends to report but I noticed on Amaz*n that they are selling the follow up 'takeaway secrets' cook book for £4.49. Thought anyone who liked the first one might be interested in this one. The original is still on there too as is the 'we'll eat again' book. HTH someone.
    Hugs to all in need.

Sorry about that, I hadn't noticed it was on pre-order. I'd love to buy them myself but DH says no. :(

Please dont apologise, its not a problem.

perhaps do some surveys to get a voucher for Amazon, then the books wont cost actual money if that makes sense? I think there is a thread on here about the books but I cant find it, if I do I will pop back and edit and add the link.

look at this its in the works for a bargain price of 99p

I picked up one of these on clearance, think it was either paprika or piri piri. Roasted a whole chicken, and used the juices left in the bag to make a spicy sauce to serve with it. Lovely! Don't know if I'd buy it not on clearance though, as it would be cheaper to make up yourself.

Also for Amazon, you can trade in old cookbooks (or any books they consider textbooks) that you don't want any more for gift certificates. Sometimes the prices aren't great (25p for some of my books!) but one was getting nearly what I paid for it. So that got traded in, have credit sitting on my account now that I'm deciding what to do with. Thinking the Heston at Home book.
