You won't be saying it was a rubbish way to lose a NSD if you win though :D

Well i didn't win it, but did spend a very happy 20 mins this morning when the radio alarm woke me with the news that there was one winner from the uk, who hadn't yet claimed the prize, mentally spending the money 20 times over, as it had to be me... of course when i checked my ticket it wasn't me :(
NSD 6 for me today, got Mr T order delivered but I don't count that as a spend (it was free delivery :D). Got a lovely surprise when I got a free Royal Staffordshire (I think!) cheeseplate delivered courtesy of my lovely sis winning it for me :D I am soo lucky (well, sis is but I get the benefits because I have a lovely sis!) x

Ahhh, i knew there was someone missing here this month, how is the lovely pipersky?

Rising so sorry to hear you had such an awful experience, hope you have managed to get loads of rest & are starting to feel a bit better?

Elly Yay indeed to paying off that debt!! :j:j

Number 5 today, did spend but only money out of my "treat jar" which is there as a reward for not smoking. I allow myself the amount of money one packet would have cost each week & tbh i rarely feel the need to use it, but this week is shaping up to be the week from hell at work. What i found really scary is i managed to get tea from the chippy & a mahoosive bar of chocolate on special offer for a quid that will probably last me till this time next week! & it still cost less than 1 pack of cigs
If i ever needed a reason not to start again, that has got to be it!!

Yep, know that feeling - me and OH had a lovely conversation tonight spending our lotto win, in 10 mins I'd paid off all our debts, booked us a week in NY in a posh hotel and booked flights (Upper Class of course) ... then we realised the only glitch was that we haven't won...yet ;):rotfl:
Kerri gt – Feet up, a cuppa, (chocolate???) and the fitba on the telly – nothing better. :)

Indeedy there was some choccy involved - one of the decorations left over from the xmas tree. :D Well done on the updates, you're doing a sterling job :T

Cw18 – Excellent news about NSD #6. :j You are so organised with your shopping, it puts me to shame :o
Ahhhh, but I have the time to do this :D

I'm responsible for no-one but myself (don't even have a pet), cook for no-one else (apart from my chap some weekends), and don't have a job eating into my time.

The fact I'm living off savings which were intended to either make improvements to this property if I decide to stay long-term (solar panels being one possibility) or to cover the cost of selling and buying at the same time if I decide to downsize (if all the savings are gone I'll have to sell, rent, buy as I won't have a deposit until I get the cash out of this place) is also a constant reminder I have to s-t-r-e-t-c-h the money as far as I possibly can ;)

I've removed £13.23 worth of goods from my Mr T list, and will save £1.34 (just over 10%) by buying them between A!di and Mr M (one item is actually 37p dearer at Mr M, but I get a larger pack making it cheaper per 100g - so a 10% saving and an extra 250g of breakfast cereal :)). So now I need to find another £13+ of stuff to put on my Mr T list - I can guess which website I'll be spending a fair bit of tomorrow on :rotfl:

  • Hi everyone, thanks for all the good wishes .... unfortunately, it didn't go well:(.
So sorry to hear that sweetie - but nothing to be embarrassed by (or if it is, then I really need to be more red-cheeked about a big panic attack I had in Tescos a couple of months back! ;):D). Lots of tlc and tolerance for yourself, and good that they've rearranged for the alternative location. *hugs*
I haven't had a good day at work, though did get everything done in the end.oh boy,I'm glad to be home.

I also got shouted at in the park on the way home by a man (when I was throwing bits of bread for the birds),saying that it's against the law to feed wild animals.I shouted back that I wasn't feeding animals but birds.I don't know if he's right...Breathe deeply marmite....

Ya boo :p! to both your work, and the nasty shouty man at the park. No idea whether or not it's illegal - but nothing gives anyone the right to shout at another person, or dengrate them in any way...quite a few laws against it come to think of it....;)

On a slight aside, sorry to miss another fab update missus Freeby - but I'm declaring today as NSD 7...thankyouverymuch....:D
