Does anyone know of any other good challenges that helps encourage the paying off of debt / cutting back on spending. I don't really know where to start. I am happy to join in on this challenge but even though I'm aiming for 15 NSDs I could easily spend £100 in one day on complete rubbish!

    Advice please anyone??

    Thanks, B:cool:

You could try the Frugal Living Challenge - I've found it a huge help as it concentrates the mind on all spends :)

  • Well I was going to up the number for Feb but having just hit Jan's target I think I'll keep it the same as with two less days in the month it's technically upping the challenge!

So, can I be put down for 10 please?

Good luck everyone, here we go again! :j:money:

I have been PAD-ing for just over a year and paid off £5k approx so far! PAD means Payment a Day. You make small payments as often as you can. It doesn't have to be every day. Some round down their bank accounts in online banking and some save in to a little pot. Whatever suits you. Some PADders have paid off huge amounts of debt and a few have recently become debt free. It is very inspiring. We are a really lovely bunch (just like on here).

Hi all, thanks Spoon, BDINI and LMH for running these threads. It's great to have people who we can talk to about not spending for a change.
For February, I was thinking of trying for 20 but somebody mentioned half term so I think I'll try for 15 NSD's in Feb. please. Plus I'll go for 5 in a row.

So sorry, I forgot to thank IF for all those wonderful pics that bring a smile every day. :DThanks IF!

Big warm hugs to everyone. We're going to need them!

  • Hi everyone.
And thanks to spoony, bdini, lmh and everyone else involved with running the challenge and keeping me so motivated when it comes to getting control of my finances.
I can't believe this is my 3rd month already - I'm going to try a first target of 12 nsds with 4 in a row please. I would go for more except it's half term in Feb and that usually means I'm spending more than I normally would.

Evening all, thanks to Spoon, If and LMH for keeping this challenge going every month...you are wonderful!! :T:T:T

Think I will go for 18 NSDs again, despite the 2 days less. It is DS2's birthday, as well as half term and Valentine's Day, but still hoping to keep speding under control. DH's mini has it's MOT & service this week, which could be expensive, hoping not though :o

Will also go for 4-in-a-row methinks! :D

  • OK my plan is if I sign up I'm gonna have to keep coming back to celebrate how well I did :D

I'm on quite a tight budget this month. Can I start out with 6 NSDs please? :j
