    Had a very good weekend - albeit a 'short' one as he's nights (which means starting at 10pm today) and had to go home to get some sleep before hand

    Mentioned the other books I'd ordered to him (had an email this afternoon saying they've been despatched), and he agreed with me that they'll all link together well. Before he got here yesterday I actually came across mention of one of them in the book I'm reading at the moment, and today I've come across mention of another - so all looking good so far :)

    Since he left I've read a bit more of the book, spent a bit of time playing a FB game, and watched an episode of Poir0t (got another on the go at the moment) - and the last thing on my mind has been spedning, which means today has been NSD #18 (taking me to one above target)

    I should be able to make a mid-week outing, as it's only weekends I'm otherwise distracted at the moment ;) He has mentioned coming over mid-week once in a while, but it won't happen this week due to him being on nights - not the week after as he's agreed to a shift swap with a colleague, which means another week of nights for him.

    March NSD 5/10 March Make £5 Day £99.28/£155
  • Hi everyone

    Well first month of doing this and I have failed miserably.

    I am still struggling on what to include as I have been including spending on petrol too which has not helped my total.

    Have made a total of 5/10 for Feb 12.

    Aiming for 10 again in March and hope to be more organised now that I know what I am doing.

    Will there be a different thread for March or does this one just continue?

    Thank you for running the thread it is really helping me to stay focussed.

    Good luck everyone
  • Hey New Leaf... the way I did it was to put aside money for essentials like petrol and essential groceries... Someone on another thread said they do their main shop/fill up on a Saturday then whatever money they have left is what has to see you through the week. If you get stuff out the way on the same day - it = more NSD... or you could just discount petrol/essential spends - and just watch the other money. Hope that made some kind of sense!!! And hey... 5 x NSD is better than 0 x NSD so well done!!!

    :)

    Hi new leaf 88,oh dear,oh dear I'm afraid you've used to 'f' word,which is strictly verboten!:eek::eek:

    Just think of it as not quite reaching your target.Maybe you aimed too high,but you still achieved 5 NSDs,which is great.It can take a while to decide what to include in the challenge,so don't feel rushed.You can change the rules too,it needs to be what suits you.

    So please don't be downhearted.

    There is (or will soon be up and running) a new thread for March.

    TTFN!
  • :eek::eek::eek: I'm still recovering ........

    Anyone seen David T recently?

    That is a pity.He made a big pot of his famous curried sprouts and was surprised to have so much left over.Anyway it's developed a nice furry topping,which has considerably improved the flavour -or so I'm reliably informed.;)
