It was a reasonable price though and my hall looks 100% tidier, so money well spent. No NSD today either as I'm meeting a MSE-er for lunch
I was there yesterday too! @ 10am.I saw those racks and swithered about them! Maybe we passed each other without knowing? !!!:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
Just flying in to report NSD number 11 in the bag, and hopefully will be followed by number 12 at some point during the next 3 days.
Are we having an outing this month? Igor reckons that as Wednesday is a special day, only happening once every 4 years, and as it's known as a Leap Year, we should do something involving leaping around -
Yessir! Grab your pardners for the NSD gang hoe-down!
Virtual invitations winging their way to you all as we "speak" - cowboy dress optional, bring your own cans of beans (but no recreating that "Blazing Saddles" campfire scene, thank you very much, we are refained folks here......)
Igor desperately wants to do a hog roast....must remind him, before he puts the hog on the spit, make sure it is a little bit dead first....and who is going to be brewing the moonshine this time? Come on chaps, volunteers please! Also music - about time we resurrected the NSD gang fiddling banjo band! One life - your life - live it!0 -
NSD no. 6 please.
Just noticed, I may actually be saved this month by a leap year. Praise the Lord.

Wooohoo this sounds fun :rotfl:. I agree that the day should not go unmarked. Happy to brew moonshine for the occassion :Tand I wondered if Igor could run to some vegetarian sausages...at least he doesn't have to worry about running after them with his marinade!
Excellent. No NSD yesterday as OH brought me a new lappy and as it was a spendy day I then booked up our family holiday just a cheap Cornwall thing but so excited about it, its the first time we have been away as a family in ages.
Hoping today will be a NSD, haven't any spendy plans so should be doable.
Have a great Sunday fellow NSDers
A good weekend to report here....yesterday was not an NSD because the weather was so nice we went into the next town for the afternoon. We did a bit of shopping but were VERY disciplined and only got things that we NEEDED :T:T. We were also really lucky because MiL very kindly insisted on buying lunch for us. We had a free coffee from Greggs (thanks FB) and then caught a few bargains on bread in the c0-op on the way home. I got the toilet rolls too with an extra 50p off from a coupon!!
Today has been an NSD though. So that takes me to 14/14...target reached but I don't want to extend it this time but may get another one in.

I've reached my target-#17!!
I might just manage one more.
Also I've reached day 4 without chocolate (for lent).I'm very impressed, but not sure I can go cold turkey.I might have to have a day off per week.
nargle you're right,it's a special day which needs a special occasion.I think Igor has some leftover brussel sprouts curry from Christmas ,or was it New Year? The beans would make a nice side dish, don't you think?!Must think of a nice drink to go with it.I've got some prune schnapps lying around.:D0 -
Right, so prune schapps from marmite and some of mytime's infamous blow-yer-trousers-off moonshine....refried beans and brussels curry adds a sort of Tex-Mex feel to the occasion.....I think the vegetarians amongst us should be happy with that.....better have a word with bdini about leaving that incontinent donkey at home this time, as Spoon has only just finished mucking out the Tardis after our last escapade. Trouble is, Hubert is crafty. He may look stupid but he always finds a way to gatecrash any party going. Any musicians out there for the hoe-down band? I would book the NSD Valley Stompers, but after what Igor served them in the interval last time, I dare not ask.....One life - your life - live it!0
