  • Hello everyone!

I've been AWOL for a few days as I've been really busy with work etc, so I have 17 pages of the thread to catch up with!

Not sure I'll be able to catch up with everything, so I hope everyone is well and thanks to Spoon, Broomstick, Rising and mytimetoshine2012 for the encouraging words:
Not only a personal best, Chris, I think that's the best we've ever had on the challenge, that's fantastic.

Another prizelet will be heading you way once I've done the update.

    Well done :j:T:j:T:j:T:j:T:j:T:j

Well done everyone! Lots of targets being increased which can only be good for our bank balances.

Without even planning it, managed NSD 6 today, which takes me to my target. Amazing what you can do once you're back in the routine!

So could I please increase my target to 9? Should be able to do it (she says with fingers firmly crossed).:p

  • Nargleblast I agree with your birthday season theory. I'm a winter babe and always feel better in the winter.

Funny as now I really think about it, I love spring .... I always thought it was 'cos we're emerging from winter (which I hate) and everything is budding in the garden and the baby birds etc are appearing .... :D

Finally made it to double figues ... phew! I'm stuggling to get them this month - No 10 at last. I have had a couple of "extra" spends as would usually only spend 1 day at the weekends but the past few have been spendy both days (so 3 lost there).....

Hope everyone's having a good Monday :) (I always feel better when the Monday work day is over IYKWIM)

  • Ohhhh meant to say ... saw some gorgeous crepes @ Dob*bies on Sat with DM but they were £5.95:eek: so promised I'd treat myself to a tub of blueberries & I can make my own on Tuesday:D (which I got at Mr T yesterday so I'm all ready:j)

Anyway, this got me thinking to Lent .... I'd really like to try to give something up but have NO idea what's feasible - any suggestions if you are/have done it would be welcomed! TIA:D

  • Just dropping in to announce I am now the proud owner of

    8 February NSDs!!!
The Nargle is on a roll.....surprising, because I am up to my eyes in sloggus domesticus, familius, workibus and academicus at the present, plus trying to shake off the late winter lurgy and lethargy that has been hounding me lately. Roll on Spring - it's my birthday season so I always tend to lighten up then. My theory is that we all feel better in the season we are born in, any winter babes out there disagree with that?

Ha ha! Love your description - our lives sound very similar Nargle ;). I was feeling a bit 'low' last week which is why I wasn't on here. Anyway now decided NOT to be overwhelmed and take the bull by the horns:D

I have never thought about this either...it's a good point although I really like the light mornings of spring even if it's not my birthday month!:)

It looks like I'm not the only one who has been AWOL though so I don't feel so bad! We had an 'emergency' this week as our coffee maker broke beyond repair and we are in SERIOUSLY reduced circumstances this month and could not afford a new one . Anyway we tried making 'proper' coffee on the stove which was more like warm mud in texture and not to be recommended :rotfl:. Then we remembered that we had a £25 voucher from The CO-OP at christmas, looked on the website and the coffeemaker we wanted (old fashioned not one of these pod things!) was £35.00 reduced from £60. When we got here they were having a three day event and it was £23.00 so I got a milk jug too and paid 97p ;) - Result :j. I am in my final year of studying at the minute as well as having all of these cash low problems...coffee is the light of my life atm!:D

VERY jealous of all these food bargains that people are reporting. I was really excited to go to Sainsbury's the other evening becasue of the potential bargains at 5pm and there was absolutely nothing:cry: . Still we are managing on a very economical weekly shop at Aldi (£8.30 this week) so I can't compain.

Went to Mums for dinner yesterday and she gave us enough for tea tonight too which is very kind. I made my first ever chocolate steamed pudding and took it with me - everyone loved it so I was very pleased and it was so cheap to make! :D

Please can you update my record I have 11/ 14 NSD's now

    Hope you are all ok.
