  • Hello all,

I seem to have failed to join in yet this month so I hope I can now - I need the motivation! Doing ok so far, up to about £75 I believe, but feel a bit like I haven't actually earned it as £10 from Valued Opinions and £22 from TCB - hey ho, it's all money and I will transfer it across. Now looking out for another little scheme!

Hugs sweetpea - sounds like fairy gave you some good advice there. BIG THANKS for the multi quote tip - I will be multiquoting all over the place now! Good luck with all the money making :D

Does anyone know anything about an extra fiver on amazon trade this weekend. Sure I read it someone on here yesterday but can't see anyhting on amazon itself?

ETA - I'm blind, it's there - just doesn't say anything at 'checkout'

ooh found I can exchange points for leisure vouchers which can be used to buy a deal at Butlins:j just rang up to check. She said we would have to pay the deposit by DD or CC on any deal but rest would be by vouchers, sent to head office :j:j:j so am cashing shop and scan from now on for leisure vouchers! We will go to Butlins this year! £40 in vouchers now towards a holiday.

Felling very positive about this challenge though: I am up to £58.97 so far, including another Pinecone survey today, and some more eBay sales.

Thanks guys for the support. I'm feeling much more upbeat today. After Fairys advice yesterday I sat DH down and had a good chat. He was more willing to talk once I'd kept topping his wine up :o :rotfl:

Aesop, had a little thought, as I do :o Do you get clubcard vouchers? We're saving ours at the minute for some 'free' days out in the summer.. thought I'd mention it to you. I know you're mega savvy so will already be a step ahead of me but thought I'd mention it just incase you were planning saving your spending money up xx
  • Hi all, I hope you all had a great week. Apologies for not being on and catching up...we had last minute visitors (and I had a frugal fridge so ended up having to buy a takeaway chinese for 7! and a burger king as we live rurally and have rubbish shops  ) I have managed to make a bit of cash this week despite having no ebay listings active (although still waiting on a few people to pay up!) I have bumped up to a lovely £166.27 Thanks to a few things...
    Tax credits £9.98
    Picknik.c@m members refund £16.28
    Quidco £22.63
    Ebay profits £27.00
    Wages OT £81.07
    Roadkill 11p
    Car cleaning 20p

Not rich exactly and spent half of it on niff naff and trivia trying to keep up with the visiting jones' so to speak...but I did manage to buy £100 in premium bonds with some today so it is safe and away from my spendaholic purse :) (which seems to be addicted to opening at inopportune moments!)

I hope everyone is ok. Im off to catchup on your posts now.

I don't shop much at Ts, too far, and not that cheap. So I don't have enough for days out, plus no point with DS. We went to the zoo last week, and apart from it looking very bare , we would have been better off just me and DH going on. DS had no interest in anything except the fair ground ride and the playground.

His friend's mum suggested we goto the aquarium, but know DS will have no interest. He has a very short attention span. Nursery say he doesn't there, so not sure if it is just us.

DS only likes play areas. Even the Science Museum, he had no interest in the astronaut part, he was interested in going to the basement to play.

Well done on talking to DH, hope things get better for you.
  • It is lovely to see how supportive everyone is being on here. Well done to everyone for coping well and helping each other. We all need a hug and moan every now and then and to see such support and friendship is truely heartwarming :D

I am gutted to see how many of you have snow though...we never get any down here...
i have added details and links of how to get them for free on my blog as its a bit off topic and lengthy :)
Please FC can you tell me where your blog is? x

got nothing to ebay so a bit stumped at where to turn next to make some more pennies xx

When I run out of things to sell I mooch around charity shops / jumble sales / car boots for designer labels / desirable goods...last week I bought a pair of Clarks Air shoes for £2 and sold them on ebay for £10 :D I also sell other peoples '!!!!' for a small commission as a large amount of people round here always have stuff they mean to list at some point...
Just to echo all the ((((hugs))))) sent out to Aesop, Sweetpeas and anyone else feeling out of sorts. Its horrible when you feel stressed out and jittery. I know its a bit cheesy, but I do believe that you get back what you give out in the long run - so that means that there should be plenty of positive encouraging things on the horizon for both of you.

    I agree completely BlueCow :D

    Evening all,

£30 to add please - we had a lovely meal out last night paying a grand total of £1.70 because a friend had given me a £30 restaurant giftcard in exchange for some baby items I gave her.
