When do i start getting charged?

I ordered a new phone with 3 and called orange to cancel my current contract. stupidly i forgot about 30 day notice i need to give.
I really dont want to be paying a monthly bill for two phones so wondered if i could delay the 3 contract?
do they give u certain amount of time to activate sim and start charging u from that date, or is it as soon as u place the order?

bugga, just called 3 and they are going to start charging me from thursday.

u think if i call orange and tell them i posted a letter requesting cancellation 30 days ago they might let me off?

Not a chance. Even if you are porting your number from Orange to 3, Oange will charge you the full 30 day life span of the PAC if you port after 7 days.
