Get his permission in writing to install the panel heaters if it will involve work on the walls. But I agree with puddy - a freestanding oil radiator will be more powerful and less work when you eventually leave. Most of them will go close to the wall so not taking up too much space in the room.

Since writing my last post, I have borrowed my neighbours Halogen Heater to try out, and have to say I am very pleased with it, and am off out 2moro to buy one! So will no longer need to put the panel heaters on, as My mum has now cancelled the order. I didnt think the halogen heater would be much cop, but suffice to say, I had it on for 2 hrs and am toasty warm! :j0 -
Do the research, and see if there are any local and/or national schemes to subsidise heating (usually 'green' scshemes, as cheaper=greener.) And your agent is right, but you might otherwise be lumbered with the cost of half the extra radiator. See if you can at least get some help with that.0
