Hi All,
My mum got my a pair of jeans for Xmas. Just gone to put them on (still have tags attached etc) and realised zip is broken.
French connection online (where she purchased) state they only refund within 7 days and exchange in 14. Jeans are now even cheaper and it states they will be closing sale in 15 hours. I want to re-buy the jeans then send faulty ones back for Mum to get a refund.
As it is out of their days on their policy she thinks they won't allow this. But I think as they are faulty they should?
Anyone offer any help/clarity?
Thanks!

Sale of Goods Act applies.
I would send them back and get a replacement .I wouldnt buy another pair incase they say they will only send another pair out - you will end up with 2 pairs of jeans.0 -
After this time I can't imagine them offering anything more than a replacement. Ofcourse you could ask for a refund though, but if they say no you're on rocky grounds.0

Thanks I thought that might be the case, I'm afraid they may not have any left by the time these are returned but guess I have to take my chance! Thanks all.0

Make sure that the seller covers any postage costs, due to the goods being faulty.0

Can I do that - even if it says on their website that sale items (these were in the sale before Xmas - although more than double what they are now!!) are not eligible for free returns?
Thanks all for your help!0 -
Their T&Cs don't override your statutory rights with regards faulty goods. The retailer must cover all related costs, including postage.0

This will be for 'change of mind' reasons (as they offer a 14 days returns policy. Although if you returned under DSRs (7 working days to cancel from receiving goods) they would have to accept returns whether in the sale of not)
I imagine they will send you the free returns label or allow you to use the collect+ service they would have used had they allowed a free return.0 -
so why dont you just rebuy and send back the faulty pair on the new reciept if they are identical??"Save the cheerleader - Save the world"0

Zorber that was one option but like arcon5 said I may not get a refund. I actually decided to buy new ones in the hope they will refund, but if they will only replace I will send the newer pair back - more complicated and I know I waste money on postage, but I love them so much I'd be gutted not to have a pair!0
