Sadly everyone has a 'target' of some sort.
You ring up your Insurance company your sold breakdown cover, protected NCD etc
You call your bank your 'sold' a savings account etc etc
It's the way of the world, every business wants to get bigger but it can get annoying being pestered all the time! If i wanted <Insert product here> I would of asked for it!0 -

It was on the same system 'Customer' or 'CSP' system that blocked mail and phone marketing.
Customer and CSP are gone now. Lloyds systems allow mail, outbound telephone, text and email marketing to be withdrawn. All other forms e.g. in branch, inbound call selling, and online banking cant be withdrawn anymore.
I agree the pressure is all sell sell sell, its no longer about service, or even 'sales through service' anymore, just sales.''Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self-esteem, first make sure that you are not, in fact, just surrounded by a$$holes.'' :whistle:0 -

Personalised sales messages on online banking can be switched off by the customer under the "change details" option.0 -
the lloyds systems are very complicated and old fashioned compared to the old systems of halifax0

Thanks! Didn't see that before. Just switched them off.
I was offered the Ultimate Reward today. Just get used to saying "thought about it but don't want it"
Most banks try to sell these things but others not as often. Natwest haven't pestered me in a while since they released their silver account and they used to be very pushy at some branches. HSBC don't seem to pester me but maybe because I don't pay in much in branch.0
