Online M&S, John Lewis or BHS.

The dearest of the bunch! Good service maybe, but at what price!

    Thanks for all the replies.

It is refreshing that most of you have said go to an independant bed shop. This is coming from a shopkeeper myself.

I am being a bit cagey on what I am after , as the amount of fights on here re beds, puts me off stating what I am after.

I have the brand I want chosen and the product itself chosen, but don't want to say what it is, as you always get pooh poohed on your decision on here. Have shopped around a bit and all seem to be coming up at similar price.

Just wondered if anyone had had good service and a really good price from an internet trader with a bed, most people on here all complain about the product or service. Mind you you never hear about the good ones do you?

There shouldn't be any fights any more with reference beds, as the main trouble maker is no longer posting on this forum.

I'd have to agree that it's far better to go and try out a bed. It's somewhere you will spend around a third of your life so it's worth putting a bit of extra effort into getting something just right.

    The OP asked this:

"I was wondering if anyone can suggest any online companies , who they have dealt with, who have been good and delivered what they have promised?"

The three I suggested have provided us with all that. BHS supply products for all budgets and on many products are cheaper than the larger "bed sheds".
  • I'd avoid Bedworld.net
Seems to be a complete lottery on delivery - one order came on time and all great.
Second order ... six weeks of broken promises for item that was supposed to be 7-10 days delivery.

John Lewis have great afterservice. Cheapest is not always best. They sell own brand beds made by well known companies for them.

Have you done proper research? ie made by silentnight= might sound a good spec, but will the top layer of padding be only good enough to last 2 years? do you want pocket springs?

This thread is 18 months old. I doubt OP's still sleeping on the sofa.
