Yeah both Hertford and St Albans are within 10 mins walk of their respective train stations.

I would suggest Hertford rather than St Albans as we have more displays their and shall we say our more 'affordable' ranges.

I know, its mad. Its amazing how many companies spend so much time worrying about what their perceived competitors are doing rather than making sure what they do is right.

Out of interest since we're planning to do our kitchen in the next few months, your showrooms aren't a million miles away from us, how do your prices compare to the likes of Howden, Benchmark and Wrens?

Kitchen companies don't tend to list prices and it would be annoying to make the trip and find they were twice the price of what we were willing to pay.

Errm - the way this thread is developing its getting perilously close to breaching forum rules.

    Just sayin'

    Thank you Keystone

That's why I am not adding anymore posts and have sent a PM to the previous poster who asked me a direct question.

I was trying to be circumspect but can anyone in general say do any independent kitchen companies selling German kitchens (or others of decent quality) have prices that are in the same range as the British mass market places doing rigid carcass kitchens or are they silly money?

This is afterall a money saving forum, I'm trying to get better quality and save both time and petrol.

Yes I know and thats quite correct but some of the more concientious self appointed forum police might create some bother.

Yes I know. Thanks to CK for at least giving me a ballpark - one of the worries about looking at independent traders is how do you know they're not cowboys and someone who has been posting here for two years counts as a recommendation which is great as I have only just moved to the area so don't know any companies by reputation.
  • Wickes sales are still mega overpriced anyhow ........ just take a screen shot on your PC next time lol

How did you get on in the end ?

I was only having an initial look yesterday. I will probably get a quote from them but first want to talk to a cousin who has had a Wickes kitchen installed.
A screenshot may not have the particular kitchen design with the same wall colour. That is what i wanted to see/take a photo of.
