Backup numbers on my mobile

I have more than 300 numbers and would like to back them up, if possible without linking up to a PC.
Being on Orange I was told that I could do this from the handset itself via some WAP site but I couldn't find anything!
Is there a simple way of backing up (and downloading to a new phone)?
Thanks

I wanted to do the same thing last week as I had an upgrade coming. Found a company called syncmobile. Seemed great, I registered and added my phone (W800i). I entered the sync settings to my phone, which was easy enough and backed up my entire phonebook to the website.
Once on there I could add, edit, delete contacts. However, when my new phone turned up yesterday (K800i), thats where the problems began.
I tried to add my new phone but it said I wasn't allowed to have more than one phone on my profile, so I edited my current phone. Seemed to go ok, but when I tried to get the sync settings again, it just kept saying "congratulations, you can now sync your phone" without letting me see them. Obviously, the website thought cos I'd already seen the settings once I would never need to see them again!! I tried deleting my phone and adding a new one that way, but got the same problem.
Bottom line is I still had to input all my numbers is the old fashioned way!!
Based on my experience, I wouldn't use it again, other companies may be 100 times better though! Just google, backing up my sim card.0 -
timberflake, you could of gone to the contact on the w800i and pressed more, and send contact, and via bluetooth.
much easier than syncing them with that site.
or if the contacts were saved on the sim card, you could of put you w800 sim in the k800i and copied them that way0 -

Good idea, but for the bluetooth idea to work, you'd need 2 sim cards, 1 in each phone, which I didn't have.
As for the 2nd suggestion, all my contacts were on my phone. My girlfriend got a new phone last week and tried copying her contacts from her phone to sim and back again, but this didn't work as it didn't group the numbers back up0 -
Doesn't Orange have a dedicated service for this? I know they had this in their stores and backed up everything on Credit Card size SIMs (form memory, called SIM Mates) but I'm told there's an online service as well.
Anyone?0 -

Hi
I backup to 2 phones with www.trustbubble.com and it worked fine.
Basically i joined up and transfered the contacts from my nokia 6230i phone to the web account. Then i added a sony ericsson w810i and it transfered all the contacts to the w810i phone.
I was amazed it worked actually especially as it was two different phones. Only problem i had but don't think it was really the fault of the website was:
On the nokia i can have 1 or more numbers marked as mobile. So my mate has two mobile phones. But on the sony ericsson you can only have one mobile number per contact. So some numbers did not transfer first time. But it was easy to fix. I just went to my online account and change the numbers from "mobile" to "other" and synced again and this time they appeared on my phone.0 -
Check what others on MSE have to say about trustbubble first...0
