Dealer desperate to sell me car before end of the month!!!

the cover is original Audi cover which is a very good one.
That puts a completely different complexion on the whole thing!
It would now seem as though you have purchased a nearly new Audi, a premium and well respected brand which probably accounts for the dealerships reluctance to discount.
From your posts I think most people would assume the extended warranty you mentioned to be one of the usual insurance backed, full of pitfalls type, sold at excessively high prices by commission hungry salesmen.
My understanding of the Audi new car warranty is that although it can be extended up to five years, this has to be done prior to registration, by the original owner, and would be transferable to a subsequent owner. So not applicable at a used car purchase.
I think you will have the Audi Approved used car warranty, which whilst it is a decent one, and can be extended up to 7 years, still has many exclusions and condition. It is also an insurance backed warranty, as opposed to a manufacturer warranty. Some exclusions below:
All replacement parts and labour will be paid for with the following exceptions:- Routine servicing (all parts replaced associated with routine servicing are excluded)
- All bodywork, glass (including heated rear screens) and seals
- All adjustments, cambelt timing, diesel pump timing or cleaning
- Batteries
- Bulbs, including Xenon and fuses
- CV boot gaiters
- Exhaust systems catalytic (converters are covered for internal failure)
- Upholstery, interior and exterior trims
- Non-Manufacturer’s Original Parts
- Tyres and wheels
- Un-encased drive belts
- Wiper blades and arms
- Wiring and connections (including HT leads and aerial coaxial cables)
- Worn brake discs, drums and frictional material
- Worn clutch pressure plates, bearings and frictional material
- Coolant pipes and Hoses

At 6% it's not likely to be Ocean Finance is it?
That 6% will most likely be a flat rate, beloved of car dealerships, but not quoted by anyone else. It translates to about 11.5% APR.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0 -

If you read the first post you will see the OP declined the dealer finance."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

That salesman is superb. Sorry OP, they've done you on this. Their warranty won't be worth the paper its written on either. This is NOT the same as manufacturer cover which will replace stuff like the engine blowing up (assuming its not your fault), gearbox falling out. If there's only one thing that dealers do better than selling pointless addons, its making sure those pointless addons don't cost them any money, and make it seem the buyer got the deal of their life.
Anyway, enjoy the car.
If its similar to the BMW cover then it will be well worth having at 70% discount as they are pretty comprehensive and aften include Emergency cover (recovery etc) as well as being pan European0 -
The cover is a very good one...obvious exclusions are the wear and tear stuff. Regarding the loan..it was 6% APR from M&S thanks to MSE advice0

Good oh.
Can people stop pulling their opinions out of their backsides now and making comments/issuing orders without:
a. reading the thread first
b. making massive assumptions on behalf of the OP who has to their credit, politely batted each and every one of them back again.
5t.What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -

Not disagreeing with you, but for my part the inclusion of the word "Audi" at the relevant point in posts 1 + 22 would have made a lot of difference to my initial reaction. You can't read what isn't there hence some of the assumptions.0 -
Good idea to get an extended warranty on an Audi given VAG's modest record for reliability.0
