I'm having a different problem opening an e-saver account online. It keeps telling me that I have to be logged on to continue, even though I am already logged on to online banking as I have my current account with them. I tried twice yesterday and have tried twice again today but with no success.
Can it be opened for me by a member of staff in a branch?0 -
1666hby, I had the same problem opening this A/c online. Had to do it by phone in the end (freephone # 0800 389 9875)0

I also had a similar problem when I first set up my eSaver. I don't have a current account there.
As Max has said above I phoned them, explained the problem and was told the login details provided hadn't registered on their system with the account. I was sent new login details through the post and a week later I was logged in and haven't had any problems since.'We don't need to be smarter than the rest; we need to be more disciplined than the rest.' - WB0 -
I opened this account recently. It's an online account however they say you can also bank through the phone, which to me because it's an 0845 number is pointless anyway, because online it's so much simpler and cheaper!!
I too didn't have to give any ID either. However, a while back when I opened a nationwide account, they said they do electronic checks. But when I tried to open one with natwest (who I also hold a current account with) it wasn't until I got home from the branch, that they phoned saying I need ID!!Save in 2013: #166: 9,122.51/[STRIKE]5,000[/STRIKE] 10,000Interest earned in 2014: £257.61 20/04/140 -
My account bonus has now ended, so want to transfer everything out. Does anybody know the maximum daily withdrawal limit? I've looked online and can't find a figure anywhere. I know some banks have a limit of 10k, does anybody know if that's the same with this account?0

I believe that you can transfer out £100,000 daily by Faster Payment.0

The limit is indeed £100k, although I've not got above £40k myself. However, unless it is to an account which has been a linked account for a while and to which quite a few previous and sizeable transfers have been made, a sudden one-off large transfer will get held up for "security checks". On a good day this may simply mean it takes several hours rather than the usual seconds to arrive - on a bad day it could mean a more substantial delay.0
