i dont know what its like where you guys live but i would consider it a positive advantage to have polish neighbors over the typical dss scumbags who would likely be the alternative in a similar price range.
most polls ive met tend to be hard working middle class well educated folk comming over here cause the money is much better than at home and are perfectly happy to integrate and learn the language. in glasgow some of the tenemants are full of neds and real junky scum who never worked a day in their life, will happily kick your door in to rob your tv and have gangs of scum who will happily stab you hanging arround your house.
dont get me wrong im not some we are the world hippy andwould be a lot less happy if i lived in a flat full of 3rd world imigrants from india, china etc but the polish all seem pretty nice. poland is effectivly a standard european nation with shared values and history remeber the only reson their wages are so low is the bloody communists.
oh and thier women are well hot, i copped off with one last week and couldnt belive my luck.0 -
As sub-letting is presumably not permitted according to their tenancy agreement, why did you not tackle them as soon as you discovered?0

Not illegal but you'll end up blind.0 -
This discussion is cracking me up. :rotfl:
I will have to show it to my niece, who is engaged to a Polish immigrant. Let her know the kind of prejudice they will be up against when they try to rent a flat together. Hmmmm, maybe only she should go to the letting agents.Don't see the point anymore in offering advice to people who only want to be agreed with...0 -
I think you should raise a glass and celebrate when they're gone.
They might get annoyed and not leave, stop paying and/or absolutely trash the place. That will cost you SO much more than that the piddly deposit.
No time for principles here. Who are you going to pursue? How? Small claims court? Hahaha. Get them out at any cost. Remember, YOU don't have a contract with the current occupants - they're basically squatters....and that means they have more rights than you.0 -

The law has changed, and now squatting can actually be a criminal matter.0
