  • so the tour is all booked! :j was £953 each and i have put the full amount on my cc. i will use the money my friend will give me for her half towards flight (there should only be about £100 extra to pay).

later i will bt the £1906 to my other cc which is 0% till next march and set up min payments.

i will then continue to pay mum back minus any other costs eg extra for flight, few nights for hotel etc... will need to take a payment break for one month in july to save the usual £650 of extra income as my spending money. i will then continue paying off mum for a month or so til its cleared :T then i will concentrate on paying off the tour.

of course if i still go to new zealand next march i will need to work out where to slot those payments in!

although i am going bingo next week which might be the answer to my problem! :rotfl:

so today i am off work and have 3 ms and audit to do and need to return an item i bought for a ms. will also try and fit gym in there as well!

so its the end of the month today and i have earnt £341 in ms- £31 over target :T

and i have paid off £529 this month :D not as much as came in but i had two weekends away. next weekend away not planned til april so should have time to save up and aiming to pay at least £650 next month (plus the massive bingo win i will hopefully have!)

so weekend away this weekend. well back to mums tonight then tomorrow getting train to see friends and stay in hotel and have night out. have got £85 budgeted exc hotel. train is about £17 i think so £68 left for food and booze. should be doable if we stick to places like weatherspoons!

have had to book train tix for next weekend away. was going to put on cc but they charged £3.50 to use! so had to pay for out of debt account. its a bit of a mess at the mo as i have my friends share of the hotel that hasnt come off the card yet in there and some money for the weekend. need to give dad money for the bulk buy chicken hes got me but he owes me for sis share of mothers day presents.

to get back on track i will pay incoming cash off the stuff bought on cc leaving a balance of £43.50 on there (equivalent to the tix). then will pay off the £43.50 with excess spends over the next few weeks.

should have at least £600 coming in off top of head this month, so say flight is extra £150 and walking boots are £50 will be paying mum minimum of £400, hopefully more :)

ms looking good, only £86.50 away from meeting march target with what i have got booked :) lets hope i can smash it and pay off more :)

also need to bt the tour onto other card and set up min payment dd to get it sorted

will get mum to make me some new spreadsheets at the weekend as i cant use excell :p

Oh, a new diary, thought you'd gone a bit quiet :rotfl:. Hope you can fit the chicken and bacon in the freezer :).

Hope your spreadsheet is ok :D

didnt go bingo so no large win to report :(

so done quite well with spends. have found i am not wasting money on anything and only spending it on it nights out etc.. which is good :) ended up with £20 left over from weekend and have reduced this weeks spends by £10 as i dont have plans. so will pay that £30 in the bank along with a £3.95 cheque from very that finally arrived!

flights are now booked and owed friend £123.50 for the flight. so in total holiday has cost £2030 so far without jabs, visa, insurance etc... oops :o

will need to trundle on and carry on paying! dont think this diary will ever end as everytime i get close to df i book another holiday :rotfl:

so new aim is debt free by xmas 2012. however if i go nz in march then i wont be as will need to book before then. tbh i dont mind booking a hol and paying it off for a few months after i get back, it was the owe £11k for stiff spent years ago that i didnt like!

on ms fronts, only £68.50 away from marchs target with jobs done/booked now :T

so plans for this weekend are a zumba and body pump class at the gym, clean upstairs of house, do ms, buy walking boots and posssibly start weeding the garden if i have time :)

so no payments made last week as i had to pay for my flight :(

should receive about £463 by end of march for payments but need to buy walking boots out of that. say they are £40 then will pay at least £420 off :)

ms going well, only £13.50 off meeting march target so hope to get another few booked in :)

in other news payday is on monday and i have £32 left over :) so that has been transferred to my debt account. i have £10 left of this weeks spends so if i dont spend by mon then that can go towards debt :)

todays plans are go to aldi (if i can actually get parked in the tiny car park) if not i will go to tesco. hope i can get to aldi though as would like to give it a go. i have collected my last mr a and s big shop receipts to take to compare prices. hoping for some bargains :)

i am going to make a chicken pathia from scratch this weekend! suprising how few ingreds i need to buy as i already have most of the spices!

others plans for today are clean and tidy downstairs and make the base sauce for the pathia. will also make some soup! if its not raining i will weed the garden and then go to the gym later.

tomorrow mum is comming over so i will finish the pathia for our dinner :)

so managed to get to aldi yesterday and got some good bargains! really noticed a difference in the price of fruit and veg and will def go there to buy it from now on :j. other bargains include chinese noodles for 49p and soy sauce for 59p :) much cheaper than elsewhere! spent just under £30 but that inc toilet roll, washing up liquid and washing liquid (for wm).

then went to tesco and spent £15 (and only got one large bag!). tesco was for the expensive/random bits they didnt have such as ginger paste, chilli flakes, pork pieces, frozen veg etc...

pretty pleased with this months big shop :)

however i found aldi quite annoying as you could only pay on a debit card and not a credit card! and the tills are badly laid out as there is hardly any room to put a bag down to pack. i know you are generally meant to chuck it back in trolley and then go to shelf at back to pack but i am not filling trolley, emptying it at checkout, re-filling it at checkout, emptying it again on shelf to put the bags backin! i will just cause a bit of a queue.... :rotfl:

whilst aldi was busy it was not as bad as tesco which was hell on earth! it was really busy and there were cages, trolleys and kids everywhere and if that wasnt bad enough there were millions of the home shop trolleys everywhere as well

i made my curry base sauce yesterdaty which was quite easy but its a good job i wear contacts as i had to dice 4 large onions!

got three portions of base sauce so will be making pathia later :D

another £55 paid to mum today and £25 paid to the cc :)

moved all my change in pigs since nov to one pig and theres probably only £5 in there. as i have reduced weekly spendfs to £30 there is less left over. have worked out i need to save £12.50 month to buy xmas presents so i have set up a standing order to a savings account i have with co op that i dont use from next month. according to my spredsheet there will be £50 left in bills day before payday so i transfered £37.50 over to take account of jan-mar payments :xmassmile.

few other adjustments done to montly budget to make sure amounts are all sorted mean i am left with about £3 month in bills account.

have decided to have an account to use for weekends away, excess spends, clothes etc... as i want somewhere seperate to save it up. so have opened a new savings account with natwest. hoping that i can reduce gas and elec by £15-£20 month when i submit readings and water by say £5 when next bill is due. the increased tax allowance should hopefully give me £10 extra pay. there will also be some months when i have left over food and petrol budgets. taking all of above into account i plan on the day before payday to transfer all thats left in bill account to this savings account. i will do the same with left over weekly spends by reducing what i withdraw the following week and transfering what i would have withdrawn to the savings account. if its less than £10 left over i will just keep it and use it on a weekend away or wait til there is £10 and then reduce following weeks weekly spends :D

hopefully this way i will have enough to pay for weekends away anfd clothes from here and will not need to dip into debt money! thats the plan anyway but as i have a few weekends busy in april i may need to sub myself! :)

i seem to have a lot of accounts now! lol they are-

current account 1- salary in, bills out
current account 2- ms, rent and any other income in, debt payments out
current account 3- kitty that i pay into with two friends for our few times a year meet ups
current account 4- transfer of hair and present money each month to pay for hair and presents
savings 1- left over/excess spends for weekends away, clothes etc...
    savings 2- xmas presents
cc 1- day to day spending- paid off in full
cc 2- holiday is on there 0%, paying min atm
cc3- going to ring up and cancel as dont use
