  • Also, the "crap" is only on offer. Sweets, chocolate bars, ready meals, alcohol. I cannot live from those items. I need good offers on good vegetables and fruits, good offers on healthy food. Most of the time junk food is on offer.
  • The tesco premium lager had been £2.89 for what seemed like forever, now it is £3.49!! Napolina tomatoes are now £4.89 for a 4pk, disgusting!!! I stock up when on offer only. I noticed a 160 box of PG Tips was £5.29 in a local Tescos Express last week!!! I've only ever bought teabags on offer combined with vouchers so had no idea they were so expensive! Oh and the brown tesco pasta has gone up from 22p to 88p I think!

Probably cheaper in a campsite/caravan site shop!!
I never pay more than £1 for a 4pk of tomatoes, luckily got loads when ASDA were selling the Tarantella organic chopped tomatoes for 12p - best I've ever tasted also.

It's actually so bad at £4.89, it's rather funny.
You would have to be absolutely desperate or a complete "muppet" to pay that price - madness.

I think some things are random or they chose cheap items with no alternative nothing cheaper so I have to pay the rise as rarly cant get reduced yogurts or wipes cheaper elsewhere.

I think tesco have hurt themselves with their manipoulative pricing
people are boycotting if you look at last lot of figures.

Does annoy me all the offers always choc, criisps luxury items.

Im really boring and want to see offers on
    sugar
    flour passaatta
    pasta
    tinned tomatoews
    stockcubes

stuff that eneables me to cook add value and make a meal!

I now refuse to buy full price bread unles semergancyt as seems to have gone up silly prices.

Pound shops often sell 24 pack of Oxo cubes for £1.

Rarely I see the veg ones. But saw them in the 99p store in Birmingham Pallasades last year (2 boxes for 99p) and bought 4 boxes. Make veggie soups and lentil stews.

The FF about 4 doors from work doesn't stock Oxo cubes. Must find out where the next nearest is.

Tesco own branded 6 pack yoghurts. Were 89p normal price most of last year. Went up to £1 just before the 'big price drop' and then went back down to 89p!! Then amount a month ago went up to £1.12 in price and is now currently on offer for £1! So 89p being the real price at the end of last year and £1.12 being the supposed new price that's erm....25.84%...I think!

  • I'm glad I have come across this thread as I have been wondering is it me??

I went to Mr T's as I have been doing for about 2 years, just after xmas to do my regular shop and I was SHOCKED, my bill had increased by £30.86 yep you read right, I didn't buy any 'luxuries' just basic and value products, I said I am never coming here again! So I decided to go to ALDI which is next door to mr T's!, I spent £20 less than normal and we had luxuries, my trolley was overflowing, so for me no more big 4 for us!! :rotfl: :T
