It's soooooooooooo likeable and as I'm happy for once, I really dig this! :rotfl:
It was probably aimed at 10 year olds like I was in 1998! and what is the song it won't load on my iPadxxx

As in the above post, aren't I being extremely cheeky writing and requesting they close the account with immediate effect when I owe them money from the overdraft?
Not at all, the Yorkshire Bank has now closed ours and we have an OD of 2000Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

Just write them a letter, stating that you're entering into a DMP with CCCS. Include your CCCS reference number (if you have it yet, if not, wait till you do) and the phone number the CCCS will give you to give to creditors and tell them you wish to close the account with immediate effect and to send you a closing statement, or letter of cancellation when they have. Our LBM: Dec 2011. Dear Mr.xxxxxxx
Account No. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Balance: £2,872.26
Monthly payment: £106
Amount overdue: £0.00
I have been advised by your bank that they are unable to honour your direct debit payment.
Please make a payment of the overdue amount immediately. (I don't have an overdue amount - yet).
When making payment please quote your account number on the top right hand corner of your cheque.
Please contact us on the number above if you are unable to make this payment (£0.00?).
Yours sincerely,

(and a new direct debit mandate form is enclosed.)

Well, I kind of expected this but not so soon, and they asking for a payment of the overdue amount of £0.00?
Oh dear, I'm suddenly not so cheery anymore.
I still haven't had anything in the post from the Co-Op re: my new account so will have to go in Monday dinner
But to be fair they did sent me a text saying we have now requested a copy of my direct debits and standing orders (I have none) from my current bank, from the switching team.
This is all going to go Pete Tong
I have also realised that I missed a debt off the CCCS Debt Remedy so will either have to totally redo a new one (and delay things by a fortnight or whatever it takes) or phone them 8am Monday morning with a whole new SOA including the omitted card debt.
Knew my new found happiness and relief would only be temporary
SIGH

Don't stress, just give CCCS a call Monday morning.
Write a list of all the questions you have so you know what you need to ask them.
It's not the end of the world, just make sure you get your wages paid in to the right account quick as0 -
I know u feel bad now, but your debt will COME DOWN by almost £100 per month. You will be left with enough to live on and your debts will reduce.
You were the same as me, paying huuuuuge amounts of interest and seeing virtually NO dent in the sums you owed.
What I'm saying is, you rightly could have felt depressed then.....but not now! Now, you are finally going to see your hard earned cash finally start reducing those debts! This is great!! Please dont lose heart x
so please press my :T thanks :Tbutton x
