  • Do they ask if you have any credit cards? I can't say no as when they they transfer my direct debits, they'll see I am making payments to 5! :(

    No, they didn't ask us.

Cancel all your DD from your old bank - DO NOT set up new DD for your CC at the new bank. That defeats the aim.

I'd start a new thread with this hon, it'll get seen by more people.

Which bank and account are you looking to open?

  • You will be fine FeeFeeDee, maybe BlushingRose is right and you should start you're own thread.
(Not that I don't want you in this one, I think people will get bored of me eventually saying the same thing on here without taking action), so fly free and go solo.

I promise not to post in it, when people with more knowledge and advice than I can offer will hopefully reply.

But be strong, you can do it. :)

Thank you BR, im currently with TSB, urgently need to move as I have debts with them and my debt advisor isnt registering my DAS until I have new account. I applied online with RBS last Wed, it said I was accepted online, but after 6 long days I finally got paperwork in and now Im worried about them seeing statements :(

    Thanks gocurlygirl :)

Don't know why that treadmill .GIF won't play as it did when I posted it last night, I'll fix it later.... it's very funny and how I feel!

Well, I took a huge step and called up CCCS for a long overdue chat at 8am!
(I need to give them my updated SOA figures tonight)

I then logged onto my digital banking and cancelled all the direct debits for my credit cards and car loan, I was shaking pressing "CANCEL".
(too late to turn back now!) :j

And at lunch I am going to open a new basic account - with NO overdraft.

I'm still shaking now, I'm daft :rotfl:

    It's a start isn't it! :T

Oh, I'm meant to be in work by 9am, gotta fly :p
