Another £1.25 for me today, although 35p was for a paper for a chap i look after, so not bothered about that. So my total to today is £28.79. I am however also including Saturdays, as i can see that i would spend money on a saturday and think it didnt matter as its not part of the challenge. :D

I think i am only getting a paper tomorrow, so should still be GREEN, so will declare tomorrow lunchtime ish.

Hope everyone is well. And well done in advance to those that made purple or green. and onwards and upwards to those who are red and good luck for the next week.

Thank you LC for running the thread again this week, it is really keeping me focused. I love that i am not just wasting money anymore. :T

  • Well I'm declaring that I've blown the budget this week. When I picked dd up from her friends house this afternoon she showed me a huge hole worn in the sole of her shoe. I had planned new shoes for both kids this weekend but decided it couldn't wait so got them tonight - £40. Plus £5.18 in h/b on cider to forget about work for a while. so £45.18, and I was £7 in credit so I'm declaring a red week, with spends of £38.18 boooooo.
Next week I will do better (although work makes me want to cry at the moment).

Sometimes my work makes me feel like that too it can only get better though. What makes me mad is people saying "you're lucky to have a job" I know that but when things get on top of me I LIKE to have a bit of a moan and get it off my chest. I hope your job improves and you feel better:)

Thanks - I'm the same. I know that I'm lucky to have a job - really I don't need telling. But it's sometimes hard to be grateful when you leave the house at 7.30, get home at 6 and you've had to bring work with you. I'm sure it will blow over eventually, there are ups and downs with everything. But I keep hoping that the new job I applied for last week comes up. Fingers crossed.
And I'm suffering this morning, drowning sorrows is never a good idea.

I hope it gets better for you soon wannabee :) People who say you're lucky to have a job have to remember we know we are lucky to have one but it doesn't stop us from having feelings. Especially these days when we are expected to do the work that in the past would probably have been two people's jobs (like mine)

And drowning sorrows always feels like a good idea........at the time :rotfl: Shame about the morning after. Hope you feel better soon :)
