T Mobile not receiving Voda calls. What to do?
Options
I have been on a T-mobile tariff for 3 months. I cannot receive calls from Vodaphone. "Number not in use". I have logged 5 "Number not in use" calls over a period of 5 hours from voda users, keeping geographic locations. T-mobile tech peeps say - "it is all fine at our end - it is Voda's problem. Get one of your mates to take it up with them". They phined me with a Voda sim and got through. I phoned Voda to be told "Not our problem mate - if you came to us you would not be having this issue"!. I have got a friend on Voda to raise it with Voda. "No issues at our end sir - it must be T-mobile". T-mobile suggested I go the Carphone Warehouse to try a different sim card. TCW said that he would try to help but that T-mobile were shifting the problem on instead of dealing with it.
This has been going on for a month. It is losing me business. It is costing me money. I can phone Voda numbers and txt them. They can txt me. They cannot phone me.
All T-mobile say again and again is that it is not their problem. My bill was £50 last month so I'm spending a wedge of money here, I said that I would cancel the contract and they said I would have to pay a penalty for that.
Just spoke to a senior manager who said that the tech dept would look into it again
Any practical ideas here? I am at my wits end.
TIA

couldnt you try another tmobile sim in your phone, or try your tmobile sim in another phone and see if this happens0

It does sound like a technical problem with T-mobile and I would continue chasing them until they sort it out. If it is losting you money, how about asking to switch to another SIM/number and paying the penalty just to get it sorted?0

Hi, I had the same situation but when I went from 3 to O2. During the 'porting' the technicians have to port a few things over - basically this means porting over the function for receiving calls, outgoing calls, sms, mms, video etc... (basically there is A LOT to do when porting).
Did you port your old number over or start fresh on T-Mobile with a new number?
I couldn't receive calls from any network (Number not in use) but I could make outgoing calls. They did fix this pretty quickly (within a week), but it had to be fixed by my old network 3, because 3 did not 'release' my number properly.
Hope this helps0 -
6 days after my discussion with a senior manager who assured me that the tech guys would look at it again (almost a month after my original complaint) I phoned them to suggest the porting thing. I was then told that the tech guys were waiting on a log of number not recognised calls from me. No one told me that they needed this info (again) and the manager, at the end of the last call, told me that everything was in hand. By now I jut want to cancel the contract, but of course they are refusing to do so without me paying a huge penalty. I am waiting on a call back from the manager who told me that it was in hand. Worst. Customer. Service. Ever.something missing0
