Suggestions to cut costs
Hi,
My Orange contract runs out soon. I have a iPhone and pay £30 a month for unlimited data, 250mins and 300texts.
Once my contract runs out I want to cut the cost of this.
I'm happy to keep the iPhone I've got, I don't use it alot for calling - less than 100mins a month, no more than 100texts a month. I do use data - facebook, emails etc (so preferably unlimited data). I would also need to keep the number I've got.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do to cut the cost without a consequence on my current useage stats?
Thanks.

£10 a month gives you 250 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet.
easy enough to keep your number, when you want to cancel your orange
contract ask for a PAC, get a giffgaff sim or whichever network you want to
go to, give them your PAC and your number will be transferred in a couple

There are many sim only deals that will suit your requirements, chitterchatter is another mentioned that will give you what you wish for £6 per month or even talkmobile for £5.11 per month.0 -
Giffgaff is probably the best network for you.
Going on the usage you stated if you could get the people you're calling/texting onto Giffgaff as well you can all call and text for absolutely nothing for 3 months once you've topped up for just a tenner.
Head here for more info and to order a free sim with £5 credit on it:

Would Orange do you a good deal on one of their sim only tariffs if you are happy to stay with them?0 -
Already reported all his posts so let's see how fast he stops promoting giffgaff for a bit of extra credit.0

OP
if the iPhone is from orange then it will be locked to orange, don't forget to have them unlock it before/when you cancel your contract, otherwise you wouldn't be able to use another networks sim.0
