Inner Guard Security

Hey all,
I've been looking through the forum for other posts about this company. I have been sent as of the 24/01/2012 a parking ticket costing £75.
After getting over the initial shock and looking more closely at the letter it seems very dodgy. The logo for the company is all blurry and very tiny in the middle of the top of the paper and all addresses I can find for IGS suggest they are located in Leicester, when the letter I recieved told me to send payment to Borehamwood...
Also, the letter claims that the offence I am supposed to have committed was more than 2 months ago. On the 25/11/2011.
Do I have to pay this fine or should I just play the ignoring game as others have suggested?
Many thanks,
Hazel

Just ignore them. It's not a FINE, it's an unenforceable invoice which you don't have to pay.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Very professional outfit - Not !

Website full of spelling mistakes and the grammar is beyond belief ;)

Never hear of these ones but like all parking companies you should ignore them completely , unless signed and stamped court papers arrive.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Rather entertaining for a cold and wet Friday evening! It is concerning to note that even after all the hype and earnest promises that companies like this continue to be able to secure AOS membership and yet have a website that singularly fails to comply with the e-Commerce Regulations 2002 in terms of company identification etc etc despite the fact that the CoP requires that they comply with the law.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

That was an hilarious 10 minutes spent reading and guffawing at their spelling mistakes, grammatical rubbish and sloppiness with capital letters & punctuation! I would like to give them and their school teachers 'a piece of my mind' as that website is just embarrassing! :rotfl:

I see they use Roxburghe's trumpeted sustem 'PayMyPCN.net' (even though it's only a fake PCN) which was mentioned on the forum last year - there was a stand about it at the Parking World Exhibition. That event must be coming up again soon!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Just to keep this going and updated i have recently had a parking notice from inner guard security! So they are apparently stil trying it! Just wondering if the car parks you parked in had signs up?
  • They must have taken heed and had their website proof read. They're now dot co dot uk rather than dot com. Shame, I was hoping for a laugh (and to ridicule them on the British Grammar Nazis' Facebook site).

Companies like this will keep going so long as the supply of mugs who pay them doesn't dry up. Simple answer.

They sell cd and dvd's. Very odd. Why would they operate a parking company?

Company records shows nothing about them

The parking guff is full of bollox
We have a number of different automated and manual procedures in place to ensure that the offences that get processed are genuine. All offences are 'picture checked' by our administration team, this is a process whereby we ensure all violations are genuine and all number plates match up. We also exclude certain obvious types of vehicles e.g.
    • Emergency vehicles
    • Police Cars
After the picture checking process is completed and the offence is confirmed we will send out a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) of £XX which gives the offender 14 days to pay the reduced fee of £XX. If no payment or agreement is reached after this time then the charge will revert to the full amount and a reminder letter is sent out. If there is still no further response we will send out a collection and administration letter 14 days later and a further £40 administration charge will be added.
