crisis loan complaint

i recently applied for a crisis loan on the phone as my jsa has been suspended for 6 weeks
as the dwp think there has been
an overpayment which there hasn't as i've sent all my bank statements to them
the woman who replied asked me to wait for
two minutes then came back and asked me what
i had been living on for the last 6 weeks i told her
i'd had to borrow £200 from a friend but he had nothing more to lend me she replied if he's
supported you for this long he can support you for a bit longer and put the phone down on me
does anyone know where i can make a complaint to.

You can write a complaint to your local Benefit Delivery Centre (details can be found at your local Job Centre plus). However, you need to make an application for a crisis loan and get a deicison in writing stating that you cannot have a crisis loan. Then you can appeal (internally) and then make a review case with the IRS. You have 28 days to appeal/ask for a review.0

We have only heard one side. Really shouldn't judge when you don't know the facts.0 -

By using the term 'supported you' it suggests that they may think it is someone you are living with.
Have they given you a reason for the possible overpayment?0 -

the IRS are not involved anymore. You can only appeal internally, if that is upheld thats the end of the road.
Crisis loans in their current form will end in the next 12 months anyway and wont really exist anymore. Good thing i say, they have been abused to hell and back (this is not a criticism of the OP btw).0 -

I didnt know that the IRS dont get involved anymore!
As far as crisis loans go.... They are not getting rid of them completely, just shipping it off tot the local councils. But i'll LOL at that watching them deal with the applicationsYou can't beat an egg.........................NO WAIT!0 -

Thats a valid question!
I don't agree with rudeness or putting the phone down but if you want state intervention (ie giving you money) you can't be rude about it when that intervention leads to questions about your circs.
Suggest you write a letter to your local benefit delivery centre giving the date/time of call, they are all recorded so it will settle the argument.
D70How about no longer being masochistic?
How about remembering your divinity?
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out?
How about not equating death with stopping?0 -
