A job's a job..

Too many spongers here in the U.K. Hopdfully the tories are serious about getting some of these wasters back to work, if that is possible.
Good for you pal! Don't hold back, say what's really on your mind.0 -
Dare I post this without being slated by the "Daily Malice" readers beating me up with their rolled up copies of said paper??
Sorry, but I dont believe that any job is better than none!
If a job pays little more than being on benefits, is it worth taking?
If people don't want a job then that's fine but they should be able to support themselves. People can choose whether they want the house or the 4x4 but choosing to let the tax payer keep them afloat for years is ridiculous.0 -
Too many spongers here in the U.K. Hopefully the tories are serious about getting some of these wasters back to work, if that is possible.
Yawn, Yawn- so nearly 3 million people are signing on because they want to live on benefits not do minimum wage jobs?.
Despite posturing, theres little the Government can do.O.K people can go down to Poundland for a month or so but these schemes cannot help anyone but the buisnesses.ln in terms of numbers unless major buisnesses make mass redundancies then employ free labour they wont be able to offer mass placements.
So its tough really, the state will have to continue paying for the unemployed-who for the majority are wanting to work. There is absolutley nothing you can do about it.
Also this could be you next year when you get made redundant or your family members etc. Would you be a waster or a sponger?0 -

Totally agree, and most of them are still residing at SW1A 1AA and still being allowed to get away with it.0 -

So I agree with ya. I would not be happy with any ol' job. I have ideas and prospects. I want to BE something and not just DO something my entire life. I'd only be existing.
I really like this by Ellen Goodman-
Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

Maybe so. But however they managed it, if they're on benefits and can afford to take foreign holidays, they're getting paid too much.0
