Hospital Staff Car Parking

I saw something interesting tonight when visiting at my local hospital where they have recently instigated a new parking system.

For starters, the entrance to the first visitors car park is really badly laid-out - with visitors having to take a very hard turn to to the left to get to most of the ranks, whilst the obvious straight ahead route leads you down one rank of visitors parking before putting you into a one-way that goes straight into the staff area. So rather than go all the way round the queuing system I just parked there - I have a pass for this hospital but one that apparently only applies to two specific car parks at the other end of the large site and my disabillity would have prevented my using them anyway as it was too far to walk to the ward I needed to visit.

Then, there are two exits from this car park - The most obvious and clearly signed exit leads you out via a camera-monitored gate on to a restricted stretch of bus-only road. Till recently, this has been a private road but there is some suggestion it may have been adopted by the council as part of improving transport operations - It is certainly the only bit of the "improvement that has any kind of legal markings or sinage.

Now, to reach the other "public" exit, you have to know to drive right to the far end of the car park and find the tiny signs for the very narrow exit lane/barrier they have installed there.

And still no signs stating any kind of T&C or who operates it. The old contractors were Vinci but they got the heave-ho for serious underperformance. Hmmm!

Basically put it in the bin, or use it to light the fire at home since it is quite cold out.

What happens after a month or so:

Green letter (sometimes): from parking collection services demanding more money

Red striped letter 1, 2, & 3. from debt collection plus. all very threatening, court action, CCJ, blah blah blah.

Eventually they give up. remember DO NOT CONTACT them as this simply confirms your address to them.

I work down you department a lot from midnight providing anaes type stuff. Firstly come find me when your in next or log on and pm me. i have had a few of these now and no supprise to the big names on here i havent paid a penny. I cant find the thing on Ian about parking but i did get them to change and remove it last year. as i stated if i was to get disciplined by HR i would get back at them with "how do you know etc" and would then go down the breach of confident etc etc.
come find me i am working 11 nights as from tonight. i will enquire when you working next. if i think gasman is who i think it is then he has had more than a few.
dont worry about the letters and them selling debt on etc as all three of the companies are owned by same girl.
