To get cashback do you have to have a credit card?

  • nope, you just need to be able to pay for goods and services online, whether that be credit card, debit card or paypal

I've tried both but thought TCB paid out higher amounts and have stuck to TCB alone for ages now.

I'm interested if Quidco have paid out quicker in terms of the Santander accounts because I believed cashback to be slow to pay across the board. If Quidco were quicker it may make me sway....

I'd rather wait to get the money later, than get it faster but have to give Quidco my first £5 a year.

What if it was a choice of paying £5 a year and getting more cashback tracking / paying out, or not paying £5 and having things not track / not pay out?

I been using them for almost 5 years and never once had a payment rejected, occasional things take longer than intended, same goes with Quidco. Oh and lets not forget you can get over 100% and referrals too only recently did Quidco do this, TCB being doing it from day one

  • I tend to use quidco because it is easier to see how they are funded which gives me more faith that they won't go bust.
  • To be fair to TopCashBack, I do like the little section for each merchant that says (for example):

    "Payment Performance
We last received a payment from this merchant during January 2012, for transactions in December 2011."

This is great because at least you can keep track of how far your payment is likely to be away...

On the other hand, I like that Quidco e-mail you to let you know when a new transaction has tracked in your account.

No brainer for me Topcash . Was a Quidco user from the start but last 2 years customer service has been dire. Well known big companies taking the p***. Quidco just rolling over and letting them not pay. Have had genuine enquiries ongoing for a year. Cashback paid at a lower rate than advertised that have taken a year to resolve. Quidco were worse than useless same empty nameless email after every enquiry. Voted with my feet and use Topcash. Now that last enquiry has been resolved have closed account .

So far not had an issue with Topcash,
I have never met a calorie yet I didn't like!!

I always get an email from TCB notifying me of a new transaction as soon as it's tracked.

I'm a member of both sites and from my experience I would re-phrase as: What if it was a choice of paying £5 a year and getting less cashback tracking / waiting a couple of weeks for a payout request, or not paying £5 and having things track / and pay out request actioned usually within a few days?
