Npower Gas Bill

  • I was unperceptive as I guess I was an unwary customer. I will not be considering Npower again and next time I move I will make sure it is in summer.

I'm still a little confused. There are 50 days in the billing period. 882 units per month get charged at the primary rate. So to approximate 882 divide by 31 times 50 is 1423kWh at the primary rate however the OP has been charged the primary rate on 1896kWh at the primary rate.

Part of the Furniture 10,000 Posts Name Dropper Xmas Saver!
Be kind to the rep they have helped a lot of npowers mess ups, she will just be a grab complaints girl and pass them onto someone to look into.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Does that mean I have been overcharged? I've become really quite confused! :S

primary rate on 1896kWh at the primary rate

    because of this
The reason is because of the way NPower seasonally allocate the expensive primary units on a No Standing Charge tariff. Details here...

According to that 50 days should be around 1423kWh unless I have calculated it incorrectly.

I never checked the figures but you wanted a reason why the winter bill uses more tariff 1 that is why.

I only offered an explanation as no one other than Jalexa and myself seemed to take that into consideration.
