re-avast

Hi Guys, Has anyone had trouble today with avast being turned off.
I ,ve just booted mine up, and been told Avast was turned off, .I clicked to turn on, and got an Error sign, no number,.
Re-downloaded it on top of the other, straight away, same thing.
Put MSE on as a standby, and that,s running ok, but my sidebar, vista has decided to appear, turned it off months ago.
Malwarebytes popped on screen last night for no reason, and I ran all of them yesterday Avast/malwarebytes/spybot/ and all came up clear.
I did have a phishing attack off an e-mail from my daughters pc, her address book was compromised. ,which I cleaned all up for her,last week;; just wondered if it was more than a phishing attack, but avast detected it .
I even ran Eset online scan , nothing found.
Mse has just found nothing either;
Any ideas would be appreciated.:beer:

    Very occasionally I find that the Web Shield in Avast is turned off when I reboot, but only that, and restarting the shield works fine.

    Might be worth using the Avast removal utility (search in this forum for it - it was linked to quite recently), then reinstalling Avast again.

    "Malwarebytes popped on screen last night for no reason"

    Theres always a reason. What did it do/say? Does this mean you have the full (Always scanning) version?

    Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION') and install
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
    Whilst pressing the SHIFT key, RIGHT CLICK on the hijack desktop icon and select RUN AS (ADMINISTRATOR)
    Click DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
    (do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)

    Hi bod, that,s exactly what happened, it was the shield, but wouldn,t turn back on, that,s why I over installed it again.
    I,ve uninstalled it, and running MSE scan at present,(full), slow;;
    If anyone can give me the Avast re-moval tool, probably might just instal again, now I,ve removed it from programs.
    Prefer it to others;:beer:

    Hi EnrRIK, I don, t have the full (always scanning) to my knowledge, just the normal, free version. updated regular.had it ages.
    All that happened was a small dialoue box(same as comes on tray, popped on top of screen, and tray also, don,t know why, never done it before;that was when I was logging off last night;then avast on this mornings boot;coincidence, perhaps.
    Willdo Hijackthis, as soon as scan finishes, and post it, Thanks;decided not to wait till scan ends

    Nothing dodgy in the log

    May as well TICK and FIX this:
    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {0BF43445-2F28-4351-9252-17FE6E806AA0} - (no file)

    I would also recommend uninstalling all the toolbars (MSN etc)

    So your aware, you dont need 'any' AOL software on your computer for it to run. Personally I hate AOL software

    I also recommend stopping spybots TEA TIMER service as I seriously doubt you would know what to and what not to block (And could have been the reason Avast stopped working)

    Turn off Spybots 'TEA TIMER' mode ~
    Open Spybot
    Change Mode (Top) to ADVANCED
    Select TOOLS then RESIDENT
    UNTICK 'Resident TEA TIMER' (Leave 'SD Helper' TICKED)
