A larger part of the problem would be the fact that Greece has simply spent too much money.
On the basis that previous attempts to pop the "Capitallist dream bubble" have resulted in (a) lots of being people getting killed, and (b) everybody getting poorer, forgive me if I'm not that enthusiastic about the prospect.
hmmm..... no wonder I don't pop into this part of the forum often, my politics just don't fit in with the overtly-Capitallist views held over here by many..........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

If all you're interested in doing is waving the flag for your 'politics' and have little in the way of argument to support your 'politics' then, yes, it will be rather a frustrating experience for you.:)0 -

If you only discuss you views with people that agree with you, it's impossible to understand the world. Instead of understanding you have confirmed biases.
I find this part of the forum to be interesting as we have many viewpoints from communist to libertarian. I guess you prefer to hang out with people that agree with you. Oh well.0 -
It would be refreshing to see the communists on here owning up to it, though.
I also find it interesting that they post on here considering that this website is all about playing the free market game.0 -
Indeed. However there is a distinct possibility that Greece might soon be one of them.:)
(For a political price) there are always the Russians and the Chinese..the Venzuelans aren't as forthcoming as they used to be for some reason, I am sure because of a capitalist conspiracy rather than because they follow the sort of policies advocated by GunJack.....I think....0 -

Well, I guess the Russians and the Chinese might have a reason to be helpful, but the Russians are a bit short of money themselves these days, and the Chinese always seem to me to want the price to be paid in actual dollars rather than political favours.
Of course, Venezuela would certainly have helped. Sadly, as you have noted, they appear to have changed their tune recently. Last time I heard, they were hoping that the Allmighty would intervene in their favour.0 -

What I find funny, is how they almost always start off with the same faux-naif pose and ask questions like "but what would happen if all debt worldwide was written off?" and are quite nonplussed when someone actually answers the question.jjlandlord wrote: »...I also find it interesting that they post on here considering that this website is all about playing the free market game.
Come the revolution, there will be no need for MSE.0 -
Oh dear, just as it looks like they might be able to sort this out with some kind of rephrasing of the 'Agreement' Along comes the new Greek PM and puts his size nines right in it!
