    Hi all!

Haven't posted here in a while as had got out of the habit of meal planning for a bit but am back on it now and this week looks like this:

Sun - Slow roast lamb shoulder, roast potatoes, carrot & neep mash, brussel sprouts, gravy and hm mint sauce.

Mon - Leftover roast lamb in pittas with mint yoghurt, tomatoes, red onion, black olives and some l/o hm coleslaw on side.

Tues - DH playing squash and gets fed there so it will be leftovers from freezer for us...probably beef stew for me and hm tuna fishcakes and sweetcorn for boys.

Wed - Last of l/o roast lamb, chips, peas, carrot & neep cakes (bubble & squeak-esque) and gravy.

Thurs - Hm broccoli, cauliflower & camembert soup with hm soda bread and egg custard & sultana tart for afters. (I am very pleased with this one because it will use up some l/o cauli, a bit of camembert l/o from New Year, some sour milk, the remains of a bag of YS flour and some hm pastry l/o from something else that I've had in freezer for ages!!)

Fri - [STRIKE]Hm haddock goujons (tempura style batter), beans and bread & butter.[/STRIKE] My lovely Dad and his wife are taking us out for tea for my birthday (which was a couple of weeks ago)...Italian, I think. :j

Sat - [STRIKE]Farmers market in morning so will see what we fancy when there.[/STRIKE] Have already decided to do beef burgers in hm buns with wedges & onion rings.

  • Well the roast chicken didnt happen, so no rubber chicken this week. Lucky I have chicken breast leftover from my pregnancy so can make curry tonight still. We had pesto pasta with caramalised onions instead :) still HM, still no takeaway :)
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!
