Hi Phizzimum, I use Nigella's recipe from Nigella Express (link here) but I substitute the peanuts for chopped mixed nuts and the cranberries get switched for half and half of chocolate chunks and mixed dried fruit. They're really tasty.

Well, we lived on leftovers and veg this week, much to our kids' disgust. But there we go.
Friday 27: Char sui style slow roast pork + baked pots and stir-fried cabbage.
Saturday 28: leftover veg curry for lunch, going out for dinner -- but kids will have Leftover Roulette.
Sunday 29: Thai salmon curry + rice (BBC recipe); make double for freezer cos fillets were still half-price at Ocado.
Monday 30: American Mega Burgers from Takeaway Secret. My preference would be really nice big burgers with onion and fennel in the mix but son is craving Big Macs. Shop bought burger buns (yuck). Oven chips and salad.
Tuesday 31: More of the char sui in a veg (onions, leeks, broccoli, red pepper) & little meat stir fry .
Wednesday 1: haggis, neeps, tatties -- a bit late for the haggis! I forgot. But it's hard to get except at this time of year.
Thursday 2: Fried rice with leftover char sui and kale (internet recipe). There's quite a lot of char sui left (Vigorous Portion Control) so it will feed us three times in total.
Friday 3: Something that uses jerusalem artichokes and chicken.Make £2023 in 2023: (all decluttering), current total £2860 me, £330 for friends & family, £468 charity donations.0 -
Managing to stick to it fairly well, I am tempted to join grocery challenge as I am VERY limited in what I can spend this month.
SAT - HM Burgers with H/M chips.
SUN - Slow roast beef with roasties, carrots and brocolli.
MON - Leftovers made into pie.
TUE - Chicken done in Slo-Cooker with mash & peas
WED - Pasta Bake using LO chicken and peas.
THUR - LO Chicken & veg pasties.
FRI - Jacket pots with beans & cheese
H/M cookies in oven for snacks, Weetabix, porridge or H/M Fruit bread for breakfasts. Lunches are usually salad bits (carrot, cue & tomato) with cheese or chicken and cous cous or pasta.0
