    foreversaving poor girl
jg good to know you two are doing well

Isn't it just typical that when you have a day off or something important to do, you get ill? I've got the day off work to do my dissertation interim presentation and then pack for the weekend and I feel awful :p Overslept by two hours so now trying to catch up on lost time getting ready for this presentation. I started off not having much to say but now there's loads and not enogh time!
Need to use up all the odd bits of veg today, that will be interesting!

ETA: what does everyone think of this: My housemate opened some of my post claiming she couldn't see the name then wrote all over the envelope and a bit on the cover letter. It was clearly to me (my name was slightly obscured but it said the company it was from and they know only i'm connected to them) and contained a lot of forms with my name on. I'm really annoyed because our post is kept below a whiteboard we use to leave messages on, so why not write on that? Half the A4 envelope is covered in scrawl now so I can't send forms back in it or use it to store the documents I needed to keep.
I spoke to some people at work and some thinks it's bang out of order but one says I'm over-reacting.
Would you be annoyed by this?

<<ulop' when my eldest DGS Danny was at school in Chatham Grammar he came home with a letter about a school trip to Thailand that would cost just over 2k needless to say he didn't go>>

Morning all my DGS Ben has his Chemistry GCSE this morning as well, but he got an A in his 'mocks' so he's not too worried.
Have been MIA for a day or so as I have a nasty abcess under my crown and the emergency dentist X-rayed it and said 'Oh thats a big one' and called another dentist in to look at it, gave me some anti-biotics which hopefully will clear it up.My own dentist couldn't see me until February
I look rather like a chipmunk at the moment :)Feeling a bit sorry for myself as its blooming sore

Just pottering around this morning .Tomorrow its History club and on Saturday my friend from Dartford is coming for a couple of days to decorate my bedroom so we will be knee deep in stripping wallpaper as its not been done since I moved here 16 years ago.She is great though and we hope to get the paper off and the painting of skirting boards and door frames done this weekend.Food will be whatever I can dig out from the freezer.Nights are getting marginally lighter which is nice but its wet and windy at the moment .I do hope we don't get any snow as I hate the stuff, nice on a Christmas card but thats about all.
Well time to go and make a coffee methinks Have a good day everyone whatever you might be doing

We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!

"A person commits an offence if, intending to act to a person’s detriment and without reasonable excuse, he opens a postal packet which he knows or reasonably suspects has been incorrectly delivered to him." - full details here: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2000/26/section/84

Difficult to prove intent to act to a person's detriment; but having realised it wasn't hers, imho she should have put it aside, unscribbled-on, and apologised profusely as she handed it to you personally at the very first opportunity.

I'd be absolutely spitting neutrinos. Totally out of order.:(

I would be very annoyed...perhaps you should point out in words of one syllable or less that it is illegal to open mail intended for another person without their knowledge or consent.

Adelight, is this your "problem" housemate? Maybe you need a house meeting, all present, to clarify exactly what is & isn't acceptable behaviour from her?
  • Afternoon all

JackieO - hope you feel better soon, horrible pain absesses :( x
FS - hope DS's GF is better soon too

I'm back from my work residential trip, and 2 hours earlier than planned! Yay! TO give the work kids credit they were well behaved, and all took part in activities, and were a joy to be with (90% of the time! :rotfl:). And true to OS I brought back a big bag of food which was leftover. I got bag of onions, half a garlic bulb, half bag of new pots, 2 x cooking apple bags, 1 big bag of pears, 8 bananas, 2 packs of fajita wraps, 2 loaves of bread and 25 eggs! :T bargain! Will share some with parents as will never eat it all.

My Dad is here now to fit my WM and do a few bits in new house. Then I need to pop to work for a bit just to drop off some stuff as I won't have time to go before Monday. And after that I plan to just chill out :)

OS wise - if WM is fitted ok then I will have a couple of loads to go on. Dinner will be something simple as my shoulder still hurts from yday's fall.

    Have a good day all

I'd love a small slice JulieG, but how on earth did you just 'find' 26 eggs and 9 lemons???? I'm intrigued.

I'm making sausage, mash, broccoli and gravy for the younger Pink's as the two of us are heading out for dinner on our own tonight. Not very Old Style, but what the heck....after the last couple of weeks we deserve a night on our own. :D
