sky + box files transfer to pc

An update.
Pc initially said that files are coruped and we restored some files, I used the program suggested and tried to copy these to another HD but those do not appear in the recorded program listing of the new drive.
I have now put the restored drive in a sky box, it lists all the programs I have recorded but when selecting and trying to play, the box does absolutely nothing. The HD shows 100% free space.
can any one please suggest what to do next.
