    If you go for the small claims dont you have to goto the defendants local court?

    Can the defendant choose which court to goto?

    Cant get a CCJ until you take him to court and win then he fails to pay, Even then there is no guarantee you will get any money.

    OP, personally I think when buying a used car, you have to assume there's going to be something wrong with it. The people that don't buy new cars every 1-3 years, they generally only get rid once something needs fixing.
