If your father has only months to live he should be receiving the maximum amount of DLA/AA which he might choose to fund your visits.0 -
I am sorry I can't think of anything that may help although depending on the illness a charity supporting him like MacMillan may have some ideas.
is it possible for you to stay with him instead of all the travelling? May be less tiring for you both.Debt free 4th April 2007.

Are you 100% sure that you are still on IB? My ex partner recently moved out of his home and went to apply for housing benefit and the job centre had to stamp a form...turns out he was transferred to ESA 5 months ago and no one even told him :S0

Not sure how that could happen. Before being transferred to ESA you have to complete an ESA 50 form and if the information is not enough then a medical will follow. Also doesn't it say on the bank statement what the payment is for.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Those with severe mental health problems (and other groups) can be passed simply on the evidence of their medical reports. This is the approach being taken with some that were previously exempt from the PCA.0 -

PMSL = you are !!!!ing yourself laughing at someone who has tried to help you. Nice.
I have sympathy for your situation but am not sure it is Mr Cameron's fault your dad is ill.
I would contact Citizens Advice bureau and see if they can advise further on dad's benefits position.Debt free 4th April 2007.

I'm afraid everyone on IB is being put onto ESA Contributions Based (CB) for the first year, it is typically ESA Income Related (IR) that opens the door to the other help you mentioned.0
