With regards to him fancying me... He's going through tricky girlfriend times at the moment so I'm not sure he'd be making a move even if he did like me, so that most interesting of possibilities, I'm afraid, looks unlikely...

Dunno, if he is going through a bad time with his girlfriend then maybe the thought of you may have crossed his mind. My bets are on him secrectly liking you;)

  • suki1001 - I thought he was good looking but since this "incident" There's no way I could fancy him! However, it certainly would be a better end to the story than him genuinely just despising me!

I went to work last night and it wasn't too bad, all of my other friends/colleagues were being very kind and supportive, and my boss was noticably keeping an eye on me, offering me extra breaks and so on.

The guy who I'm having this weird "conflict" with pretty much just ignored me the whole shift, even to the extent that it was difficult to do my job, (ignoring me even when I was asking direct, work related questions), behind a bar, teamwork is really important so it made things hard! However, I've just found out he's leaving in two weeks so that's fine. I just hope that he learns to deal with his future colleagues with a bit more professionalism!

Thanks again for all responses, it's really appreciated and you all cheered me up and helped me to put my emotional reaction into perspective :)

Don't let it get to you :). I had a "face-off" last night with one of the company directors of a company i started working with this week...my department went out for drinks. I don't drink a lot and politely declined a shot when offered, but he wouldn't take no for an answer. I'm a stubborn cow and he was being rude and pushy, so it did make a bit of a scene. I'm just going to try and avoid him as much as possible from now on...he's leaving in 2 months - you're luckier, your colleague is leaving in 2 weeks, so just blow off the comment and get on with your job :)
