Yes, it is £300 per year, but I have mobile phone Insurance on 3 phones (most mobile phone insurance is around £10 per phone per month for i-phone). Then I get the 'full monty' AA breakdown cover worth around £100 per year (or maybe more). Then I get afull family worldwide insurance including winter sports (minimum £50). Then I get home emergency breakdown cover, including 24 hours boiler cover during the winter months (this policy on it's own is worth about £150).

Some of this is looking a bit like an advert.

    Winter sports cover?

Never get separate mobile phone insurance! Add them to your home contents policy for a fraction of that (they may even be covered already - have you checked?).

Get the same cover with Auto Aid for £38.

I got the same level of cover elsewhere for £35 last week.

OP, you're not getting a good value account. You've been suckered in by advertising and sales pitches.

Besides, how many times a year do you and the family go "sporting" abroad? You know, Nationwide offer similiar international insurance for free with their flex account. The other products can be picked up for well under £300 a year.

To all who have posted here. Thanks for your comments. However, you are missing the point. I want to go to one place and get all the benefits for a smaller fee, instead of getting bity pieces of service/cover from different areas. Also, I require a reputable service (face), not a third party services company.

Biggles - For example, the small print of your auto aid service states the following:

"AutoAid is a pay and claim breakdown cover scheme. If you experience a breakdown, just call our AutoAid helpline and we will arrange for the emergency roadside assistance. You will have to pay for costs and expenses yourself, safe in the knowledge we will reimburse** any amounts covered by this insurance in approximately 14 days".

You cannot compare this lightweight 'insurance claims" service with the AA or RAC.

When you look at the total package, you have to compare like with like. You can't compare an Ryanair flight to a premium flight from another carrier.

You can. You don't like an element of the alternative. But you can change annually from AA to RAC and then back again and effectively get half price membership every time (often with a new TopCashback incentive).

I'll compare my Easy Jet flights to Northern Ireland against a similar BA service when they operated from my local airport.

My Easy Jet far was typically £10 cheaper. I got a drink and a stale sandwich on the BA flight.

You certainly can, it's far cheaper, just as good and just as quick. Most of the time they are using the very same breakdown firms as the AA use.

Everyone who uses them is very satisfied with their service, and their refund cheque is always in my bank account before I've even had the credit card bill!
